Hi Tracey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Tracey Suggs and I would like to introduce you to my brand, Electlady Chronicles.
Electlady Chronicles® was inspired to begin penning her life and personal journey in relationships in 2006. Unfortunately, life was moving at warp speed and provided many excuses and reasons to not this journey. This journey would challenge her to expose not only her successes but also hurts, fears, failures and disappointments. As a child, Electlady Chronicles® recalls having an intense love for writing and would write on anything that resembled paper or that provided a writing surface. As a child, she was unaware that she had been given a creative writing gift that would impact the heart of others while challenging her to confront her inner self.
In 2003, and after 12 years of marriage, she found herself walking down a divorce highway. With each day passing, the pain became more real in her heart. She, along with her children, felt as if their world was destroyed. Through this very painful process, she discovered her writing gift would become instrumental in her healing process and a catalyst by which others would receive healing. As a result of the pain and inability to express herself in words, she retreated to the only thing she knew and loved…writing. As she began chronicling, she poured all her emotions into writing. For the next three years, her pen became the vehicle by which self-awareness, self-discovery, healing and restoration would happen. In so much that she gave consideration to what if her journals were discovered and her privacy violated. Much of her journey was private from family and friends. Besides, what would people say if they discovered she had secret thoughts of suicide or an intense fluctuation of emotions?
In 2009, life happened and Electlady Chronicles® endured the painful loss of her mother. During this period, she became self-aware of some childhood feelings that were lurking in the background of her heart. Once again, she picked up her pen and began writing for the emotional release of childhood-related pain. Having somewhat a different relationship with her mother than her siblings, Electlady Chronicles® grief process was unspoken but captured in the pages of her journal. These pages documented regret, misunderstanding, rejection and the power of reconciliation. In an act of bravery, she decided to post one of her writings on social media and received enormous feedback regarding how she conveyed her emotions and the vast array of thoughts her writing provoked from readers. They were engaged in the pain of “her” story because they related to their own.
She later discovered a word that put understanding to her writing experience – Catharsis. Catharsis is the process of using art form (especially writing) to release strong emotions such as fear, anger, disappointment and pity. It is a process of purification and purging of one’s soul to release painful emotions and bring healing. It is the elimination of an emotion by allowing it to come forth and affording expression of it. We must “afford” our souls the opportunity to express our feelings without judgment or condemnation. Writing was a healthy way for her to express her emotions. In July 2013, she felt a strong conviction to begin penning matters of her heart. She knew transparency of her life was necessary in her writings to engage readers, which inviting them to identify with their own pain through her experiences. She is comforted in knowing that working through her pain, both privately and publicly, is a way for others to see they are not alone in the midst of enduring times.
Although she initially wrote anonymously, she eventually decided to reveal her identity to further connect with those who followed her writings. It was a great surprise when some readers realized the writings of Electlady Chronicles® was also the life of Tracey Suggs In 2013, after a nine months of birthing process, Electlady Chronicles® was officially born. She knows with an assurance “There is Purpose Behind the Pen” and expresses her gratitude towards those who support her ministry. She encourages her readers that throughout life’s journey, healing and wholeness is attainable when one has the courage to confront their pain. She believes we must have a conviction to accept personal responsibility for our lives and embrace our process. Though life had presented great pain, it has always presented great healing. She knew that one day, the world would have access to her life and her story.
On July 1, 2015, Tracey Suggs completed the publishing of her first book, “Love Beyond: An Open Heart is a Willing Heart”. This book gives detailed accounts of the journey of her life and inspires others to love beyond the faults, fears and failures of others – including their own. Although seasons of brokenness has qualified her to write, Christ remains the restorer of her heart and mender of her soul. Since her initial book, subsequent books have been written with the purpose of helping broken souls find healing and rest.
In August 2021, she took her passion and coaching to another level and received her International Coaching Federation ICF Associate Certified Coach credentials. Electlady Chronicles® primary focus is personal healing and relational healing through the process of coaching, small group training, and catharsis – the use of the arts for an emotional release.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This has not been a smooth road at all. The process of writing a book requires the author to revisit the places that have once been dark, lonely, and presented great pain. However, as I started the process of writing my first manuscript, it was the many tears I shed with each chapter lead to the purging of pain that was deep within my soul, laying dormant within me. It was through this writing process that the need for a healing journey became more real and proved necessary based on those who would be impacted by my content. I am a woman who has endured a life of broken and failed relationships, especially romantically. I am familiar with the woundedness of heart and bitterness of soul that comes along with the feelings of abandonment, rejection, uncertainty, and insecurities that are associated with broken and failed relationships. Learning to love the more excellent way, the way of Christ, was an intentional choice because I knew unresolved pain would have long term implications and interfere with my purpose.
As you know, we’re big fans of Electlady Chronicles. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am not my sisters keeper, I am my sister! I empathaize with her pain because I am her. I rejoice in her successes, because I am also her! Electlady Chronicles LLC ® was officially formed in 2013 to serve women as they journey, and journal, their way into healing. As a creative writer, I understand the power of words and their ability to move people into action. I know with an assurance that “There is Purpose Behind the Pen” and use the power of my words and the privacy of my thoughts as a way to encourage, impspire, and empower my readers. The purpose of my writing is to empower, encourage and inspire broken women who are willing to find the courage to heal by confronting their pain. I personally believe we must have a conviction to accept personal responsibility for our lives and embrace our process and our purpose. Though life often presents great pain, it will always present opportunities for great healing. I serve women in a variety of ways, i.e., empowerment speaker, coaching, workshop facilitator, podcaster, content creator.
As a content creator, I use social media as a way to engage my followers and to inspire them to not only exist but live! Life was not meant to simply exist, but to live and thrive! Although my life has endured much brokenness, I am healed, whole, and thriving!

There is life after a broken or failed relationship! We must make a decision to outlive the pain that is inflicted upon us in order to experience the greatness of purpose. I am here to encourage and inspire others love is the greatest superpower any of us can possess. To love God, ourselves, and others. In spite of our pain, I believe that healing will help us to #lovebeyondu!
