Crystal, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started my blog when I realized that I was the go-to girl among my friends for the latest in beauty, fashion, and healthy living. I was always getting the questions on what mascara was the best, or where did I get my hat, or how to get over a break-up. So, I decided to put all of that information in one place and then Light, Love & Passion was born.
Has it been a smooth road?
What I’ve found works best for me, is to remember to stay in my own lane and do my own thing. Especially right now in the Instagram world, it’s easy to get caught up on the comparison train and wonder why you’re not growing as fast as “so and so” or wonder why you’re not getting invited to the blogger events in town. But when you really take a step back and keep doing what you do for the love of it, and not for the recognition, that’s when it’ll start to shift. Focus on the people that follow you now and serve them.

My blog is a lifestyle blog that focuses on anything from Motherhood, Beauty, and Fashion to being a vegan, finding the best vegan spots in town and travel guides from all over the world. My authenticity sets me apart because I am unapologetic about what makes me, me.
Do you feel like there was something about the experiences you had growing up that played an outsized role in setting you up for success later in life?
Absolutely. I always thank my past for making me the person I am today. Without the hardships and successes I’ve had, I would be a totally different person and I love who I am today.
