Meet Trailblazer Danielle Hall

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Hall.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
At 28, I finally felt what healthy felt like for the first time in my life.

After my last emergency room trip, sitting on the hospital bed in a gurney, the doctor came in, looked at my chart of symptoms and said, “Well, Ms. Hall, if we don’t find out what’s going on with you, you are going down a dark road.”

I was loosing my hair, the enamel on my teeth, had migraines, chronic constipation, lumps in my breast, and cysts to name a few. My body was deteriorating, and yet, another prescription later, I was sent home.

This was the catalyst for me to open up to alternative therapies. I ended up going to a Naturopathic Doctor (mostly because they had DOCTOR in the name- haha!) and found that all of my health issues from a young age were due to a gluten allergy.

At first, it was empowering to know that I could take control of my health by NOT eating something. I felt amazing! For the first time in my life, I saw what my nose.. my body looked like and felt like without the “random” bloating and inflammation. I had energy! I had clarity! And then… I had depression. I spiraled out. I started to resent my parents for not knowing how food affected the body. I was angry with myself for how long it took to figure it out. I was angry that I wasn’t more curious about what was happening to me. I was angry at anything and everything I could be angry at!

After months of stewing in this anger, the question finally hit me that shifted everything, “If I didn’t feel that I could take alternative practices and modalities seriously, then how many more people felt this way, too?”

I set off on my own journey of trying out as many alternative therapies as I could to try to understand and eventually came across something called Sound Healing. My first experience was beyond anything I could have ever imagined and I knew there was something to it in creating an environment for the body to feel good and ease the pain, but also create the opportunity for self-discovery and empowerment. I haven’t turned back.

I am a sound practitioner and teacher because the experience creates the opportunity to relieve stress and reduce pain, but also for creating space for the stillness of the mind and body that allows for awareness of self. When we have awareness, we are forever changed. We can then choose to empower ourselves to change the trajectory of our lives.

I want to support the other Danielle Hall’s out there in becoming curious so that they too, can become aware and make the change they want to see in their lives.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I can’t say that this path has been easy. I have experienced low lows in my health, and the varying emotions that come with changing careers and being an entrepreneur.

The thing that stands out the most to me though, is to look at the things, people, and source of income coming in that are supporting you as you step into your passions work and living in alignment with your truth.

The people you surround yourself with are extremely important. Become aware of the voices you allow in your head and start weeding them out. This may be your best friend, or this may be your momma… When you step into alignment with your truth, not everyone is going to understand what or why you are doing it. You need to know this for yourself and evolve out of the people weighing you down. Know your WHY. People will say things, and THINGS don’t always go to plan. Knowing your WHY (the why you are doing it) will be what picks you up in those low lows and propel you forward.

Also, I didn’t just cut off my career before sound healing… I thought of it as the venture capitalist to my passion’s work. Don’t make things hard on yourself. You don’t need to starve to be successful. Utilize the resources you have available to you whether it’s a J-O-B or living at your parent’s house to save money. Eventually, you will evolve out of the old and into the new.

Lastly, know that you have a choice when it comes to your health and happiness. You get to choose to stay in the relationship, the job or have poor health. YOU deserve health and happiness. You just have to make the choice to move in that direction.

We’d love to hear more about SoundEmbrace.
I started SoundEmbrace, to support others in living a life they love by providing sound experiences for personal transformation and growth, and by relieving stress and reducing pain through sound and vibration.

The sound acts as a vehicle to get you to stillness. It creates the environment for the body to go into its own natural healing processes by initiating the Relaxation Response within the body. Mind chatter dissipates and guests often feel a sense of clarity, rejuvenation, and wholeness.

I am most known and proud for my work in making Sound Healing accessible. Whether it is through my group sound bath sessions, sound healing classes, corporate wellness contracts, creating job opportunities for sound healers in Atlanta, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, working with kids therapy centers, and being able to accept HSA and FSA for sound healing services, these entry points are shifting the conversation around the importance of empowering individuals through stillness. Stillness creates the opportunity for awareness. Awareness creates the opportunity to choose to make empowered choices that will change the trajectory of their life.

So much of the media coverage is focused on the challenges facing women today, but what about the opportunities? Do you feel there are any opportunities that women are particularly well positioned for?
Throughout history, men and women have had to adapt to particular roles. There has been a “way of being” for women as caregivers, listeners, nurturers… we have had centuries of practice! I think the opportunity we have in the times we live in now is to empower our men in these areas. Supporting men in being vulnerable and honoring the courage it takes to do so, and heal these unexpressed wounds. I believe this will deepen our relationships and understanding of each other so that we may all have more compassion, and empower everyone in living a life filled with health and happiness.
