Meet Trailblazer Miracle Hines

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miracle Hines.

Miracle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.

I started out with fashion and style at age 16! Honestly, I believed I started the minute I got my first Barbie doll (laughs). When I was a little kid my dream originally was to become an actress I had no clue that fashion styling was even a thing or a job, but whenever I had my dolls in my hand I was fascinated with changing the clothes or cutting up a piece of fabric from another cloth to make a dress. I remember once I used Elmer’s glue thinking it would hold the outfit together.
Originally I’m from Sarasota Florida so there are not too many fashionable things happening down there, there are a few boutique shops, but someway in that 90-degree heat I started to develop my own sense of style without knowing it. It would be a super hot day and I’ll wear jeans shorts with leather boots, a long sleeve peasant top and a hat and I just would find ways to be creative and to be original and even if I was going out to dinner I’d made sure to look my best. At 16 my family and I moved here to Atlanta, and it was like I found a gold mine! It was such an eye-opener for me! The people, the scenery, the culture, the fashion and the creativity just everything really took hold of me. Quickly Atlanta became home to me. I remember feeling passionate about switching styles day to day, creating something out of dated matierals and in that first year of being in Atlanta I knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life for sure and that was Fashion Styling. Later on, I began to post my looks/styles on Instagram and sharing my experiences with how I made the look and what inspired me to do this thing that I love and this was before being an Influencer was a thing or before it was as big as it is today. Soon people started to discover me and requested looks and wanted more content.
Now at 25, I have insanely evolved with my style and how I make sure I represent & show my originality with my personal style. All those factors are big to me and that’s why this year I’m starting my own clothing line, it’s so new and fresh it’s also scary doing something I’ve never done before, but God gave this passion to me and I’m going to follow it. I feel the reward will be worth it. To some fashion & style is just eh, or some people may think it is superficial or it’s a job and nothing more, but to me its another form of art it’s self-expression and it’s me showing who I am to others. Also I’m inspiring others to look, feel and to be confident with themselves and to love themselves because that’s how I feel when I wake up in the morning add a good outfit with it and I’m ready.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Listen, there is a reason why the expression is “road to following your dreams” because it’s exactly like a road and there are speed bumps and road stops, maybe a U-turn along the way of any dream. It hasn’t been easy all the time, not everything goes as I planned that’s a struggle and I have found out it’s fine if my plan doesn’t work out how I want it, I’ll just find another way around and make it work. I come to learn that God wouldn’t give me a dream if there wasn’t a way for me to reach that dream. I’ve learned to not let struggles effect me because as mom says “today is not your future!” No matter if I didn’t complete something or if things don’t workout today, it isn’t my final result, it’s not my ending and that’s my advice. Whatever doesn’t work out today just know God wouldn’t give you a dream if he didn’t want you to reach it, you’ll get there. A bad day is only a comma not a period to your life. Keep going.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Fashion Stylist & Influencer – what should we know?
What I do is I am a stylist and fashion influencer. What I am most proud of is that I’m helping someone bring out the best in themselves by dressing their best, by dressing your best you certainly feel your best. I specialize in making the everyday person look naturally amazing, it doesn’t take a lot for you to look great most times what you need is right in front of you and I help you realize that.

We’re interested to hear your thoughts on female leadership – in particular, what do you feel are the biggest barriers or obstacles?
The biggest barrier in this industry with women is that not enough women want to genuinely help each other and if they do it’s a catch added. I feel like this industry is so big and it’s enough room for us all to be secure in our own spaces and places but sometimes, we need some help from a person that has been in the same situation before without getting hit with a fee just to ask 3 questions. I think help should come naturally all women should have a chance to make it.
