Today we’d like to introduce you to Travis Wilder.
Travis, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
God Got Me is a lifestyle brand that reinforces the fact that no matter what life throws your way, you can rest in the fact that GOD always has your back. The brand was started by two long time friends who wanted to create a brand to promote God fashionably. Both growing up as PK’s (Preacher’s Kids), God has always played a major role in both their lives. Cornell Mann and Travis Wilder brainstormed the idea and came up with the brand name “God Got Me”. They quickly trademarked the name and got to work. Once they came up with a logo design, they reached out to manufacturers and began the background work. They bought their domain, created their website, and began to market it. Now, they are growing everyday.
They will have a full apparel line to cater to people of all ages. “We want to create a movement where it doesn’t matter what race or gender you are. We are pushing Love!”, said Mann. The two man team have big plans for the brand. “We plan on making the God Got Me brand a household name. We want people to fashionably display their Faith in God. Especially in the dark times that we are living in, it’s important for people to keep the Faith and know that the rain may be shining now, but the Sun will definitely shine again.” Said Wilder.
Has it been a smooth road?
Actually the road has been smooth. We try to keep the brand as simple as possible. Our brand name is the actual brand so its not too complex. We’ve had some good partnerships with a couple of manufacturers and we are learning to handle some of the production ourselves as well along the way. We try to keep the stress level down as we live by our mantra and know that “God’s Got Us” no matter what obstacles may be thrown our way.

Our LLC is called C&T 413 LLC. It stands for Cornell & Travis 413. The “413” is derived from our favorite Bible scripture from Philippians 4:13 that reads “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me”. Under our LLC umbrella, we own Spiritual Sports Socks (www.spiritualsportsocks.com) and God Got Me, both online stores. We also have a couple other brands that we are currently working on. What makes us unique is that we put God first in all of our business affairs. We know that with God, we can accomplish everything and without him, we are nothing. We have fun with our brands. We try to make innovative and creative products that you might not see often. We want to mix God with Swag and make it cool for people to fashionably rep their Faith. We are most proud when we see customers post pictures proudly in our gear boasting about their Faith in God. That is why we do what we do. We strive to make people feel good while proclaiming their Faith in God.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
We feel like all cities are good for businesses like ours. There are millions of people all over that love new brands. Atlanta is most definitely a Fashionable city so it is the perfect city for a new brand to start out in.
We are headquartered in Michigan, but we have GA/ATL ties. Both my parents are from Roberta, GA (about 25 miles from Macon) , and we have a pretty nice customer base from the state of Georgia.
