Meet Tre Wright of Letrevious in Northeast Georgia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tre Wright.

Tre, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As a child, I was fascinated with the arts. Music, acting, writing, and dancing all played vital roles in my childhood. I knew I wanted to be involved in entertainment somehow but I didn’t want to restrict my options. Therefore I practiced and perfected my overall craft on a daily basis. Music seemed to be the door that opened for me though. Alongside my producer, Ivan, I was able to escalate everything about my artistry within a couple of years. I released my debut project in 2015 and received generally positive reviews. Four years later I feel that all the hard work is starting to pay off. My videos on Instagram have started to build a little attention and I’ve been in contact with labels and a&r’s.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I don’t think the road is ever smooth for any artist. There are always going to be obstacles that arise and try to hinder your growth. For me, the challenges didn’t come from another person though. I was in a fight with myself. I went through a time where I lost all motivation to do anything creatively. I didn’t want to write, make music, act, or anything. The passion was gone all because I stopped believing in myself. I let one minuscule comment get to my head and it affected me in the most negative way. I still tried to create music but there was no life or inspiration involved. It took almost two years for me to overcome that burden but I look at as a catalyst for the strength I have today.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Letrevious – what should we know?
I’m an artist but the concentration for me right now is music, specifically rap. I don’t like to give myself the title of being a rapper because I feel it boxes me into a specific category. I’m an artist who just so happens to be good at rapping.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Hunger for success. Everybody wants to be rich and famous but nobody wants to put the work in. I’m not a member of the “everybody.” In order to get to where I want to be, I know the steps I have to take. I don’t just speak them though. I take action.
