Today we’d like to introduce you to Trvp Andre.
Trvp, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Growing up, I’ve always loved dancing. It was the first thing I did when I came home from school; going on YouTube and watching Michael Jackson videos and trying to copy what he did to improve my skills. I’ve looked up to many dancers, comedians, influencers, and entertainers growing up always aspiring to be someone who can not only make a difference but be an example to everyone around me. Years went by after already being on social entertainment apps such as “Musically” and “Dubsmash”. An app called Tik Tok came out and I decided to check it out. I’ll never forget the night I posted a simple dancing video and woke up the next morning with my phone on fire from notifications. Ever since then, I’ve posted tons of content on the app extending my following to over a million people. Now my goal is to inspire everyone that looks up to me and be an example to show that anything is possible.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing in life is ever smooth. Being a social media influencer is especially challenging. You’re going to have people that love and support you with their whole heart and you’re going to have “haters” that are going to try to bring you down and you just can’t let them. I take it as motivation to keep grinding and show the talents that God gave me. You can’t let the haters get to you because at the end of the day, that’s what they want.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am known on all social platforms as “Trvp Andre”. (pronounced Trap) I started out being known as a dancer, but have expanded to being an artist, influencer, and entertainer as well. Have also recently involved myself with acting so that would also play a pretty big role in my life right now. Growing up, I was very athletic. I played almost every sport ranging from soccer to football to swimming. I loved making people laugh and being very social. But through all of the athletics, I always had that drive for dancing and worked just as hard to perfect it.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would definitely change how I came in. Coming into this social media world and showing everyone who I am, I feel like my fans and supporters are really just starting to figure that out more now than in the beginning. For example, I show my personality off way more now than before just so my audience can have a better connection with me. I try to give good energy and be funny because truthfully, that’s how I am in real life.
