Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Haner.
Victoria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was attracted to photography for as long as I can remember. Apparently, as a kid, I kept a disposable camera and clipboard with interview questions with me at all times, photographing and questioning my friends for my magazine features.
I got my first DSLR at 15, which catapulted my passion throughout high school, and eventually led to my decision to attend The Creative Circus for Digital Imaging.
Teachers, advisors, and colleagues all along the way have kept my passion ignited, and directed me to where I am today.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Entrepreneurism is all but an easy road. Some parts have been smooth, others inexplicably difficult. After graduation from The Creative Circus is when the real work began; building a clientele, marketing, time management. My biggest struggle has been building a loyal clientele. There are so many talented photographers in this industry, you have to find your niche and find your place alongside each other.
Please tell us about Victoria Haner Photography – what should we know?
Victoria Haner Photography specializes in engagements and weddings. I also really enjoy my family mini sessions! My proudest quality, and also, what I believe sets my company apart from others is my ability to make just about anyone comfortable in front of my camera. I am not afraid to make a fool of myself for a genuine smile. It’s my philosophy that the giggles, tickle fights, and smirks are the moments we remember fondest.

How much room do I have? My husband, James, is my biggest advocate and motivator. My parents have supported me through every phase of creativity. All of the teachers, classmates, and advisors at The Creative Circus shaped so much of my vision today. I have had so many friends throughout the years offer their talent and services which have been catalysts in helping me build my confidence.
