Bernice, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started bartending eight years ago after attending ABC Bartending school located in Smyrna, GA. I was first employed with Cirque de Soleil for three months and then continued at the Delta Sky Club in Hartsfield-Jackson Airport for 6 years. I’ve also worked at Chit Chat Lounge for a year (on call) and have been hired to bartend multiple parties. I soon realized that I really loved what I was doing and wanted to step out to start my own mobile bartending service. I started BeBe Juice in July 2019, it was an idea that I came up with along with my late brother right before he passed in 2016.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The beginning was pretty smooth until March 2020. Due to Covid-19, I was furloughed from the job that I was using for additional funding and the bookings we had begun to cancel. I had to become creative and find other ways to keep my business afloat.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are in the mobile bartending business to serve our clients both traditional and non-traditional drinks in whichever way they might want it served at their events. This means we will serve alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic drinks in traditional mixes or creating new blends for our customers. No event is too small, whether if it’s a date night, wedding, shower, religious or a birthday.
