Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandi Little.
Hi Brandi , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I got reintroduced into the music industry March of 2021, when I released my first single “Runaway”. I performed at the legendary A Brooke Haven Lounge in Macon Ga, April the 10th of 2021. That performance opened doors for over 40 shows in the past 6 months. My biggest performance to date was for over 40 thousand people in Perry Ga for the 44th National Bikers Roundup. I’ve also released more single’s, including the huge international Afro Beat song called “Como Me Siento”. I’m very blessed my career has skyrocketed in only a matter of months.
Alongside singing, I’ve also been acting. I’ve had the pleasure of starring in several feature and short films. I have plans on releasing my first EP before the end of the year. I’m looking forward to bringing back the smooth, energetic feelings of classic Rhythm & Blues. I’m a country girl with International dreams. With the help of God and my team, I intend on living out every dream.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Nothing about the journey has been easy. As I mature, I understand it was never intended to be. All the years of struggle, self doubt and self sabotage allowed me to grow in the darkness. I mirror my life to a Lotus Flower. Its roots start from muddy waters, its stem emerges to the top of the water and then the flower blooms. The flower has a special waxing that allows mud and dirt to fall right off. I’ve had so much dirt and shame thrown on my name, but similar to the Lotus, I rise.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a singer, songwriter, and actress. I sing live at many venues and lounges all over the city of Atlanta. Ranging from once to twice a week. I specialize in freestyle singing, most if not all of my songs are recorded in one take. I hear the beat once before I record. I love to connect with the energy each song gives me from the moment I hear it. I also have a love for poetry and writing different poems. It’s giving me the space to create on paper as well as flow naturally. Music is spiritual for me, its my healing space and my gift to myself and anyone else who can tap in. The intentions are for millions to heal through my music.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Laying on my grandparent’s trampoline in the hot country summers. I can still hear the song the insects sang in my head, as they sang themselves to sleep, the day was fading and almost time to go inside. I would dream about my life “now”, those summer evenings. How I would go all over the world singing and acting. At the time, I didn’t know I was manifesting my reality. Those hot summer evenings of manifesting have shifted my life and my children’s lives forever.
