Today we’d like to introduce you to Constance Delores Burrell.
Hi Constance Delores, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have always been a lover of children! I studied Psychology, Early Education, & Childcare all while training to take my GED exam at Baltimore City Community College. Later, I graduated from the Women Entrepreneurs of Baltimore, Inc. (WEB). I then worked as a lead teacher in Baltimore City and County after-school programs. I am the featured poet on the introduction of Tyree Colion’s track/song entitled, ‘Dead Already’ published by Tyree Colion on his album entitled: Makaveli Too under recording label ℗ 2014 Street Legal Entertainment Inc. I was acknowledged by Rosa Parks for my poetry and work in my community against social injustice. Thus, earning my name a spot on the National Wall of Tolerance.
A native of Baltimore, MD I have experienced and have overcome much adversity. Despite it all, I have earned 17 certifications and three licenses in different disciplines because I couldn’t pinpoint EXACTLY what I wanted to do for a living so I did everything that piqued my interest and excelled in every industry I studied!
This brings me to the present, I am very proud to announce the birth of my first children’s book. It has been a long time coming since Covid-19 stagnated the world’s way of life. I experienced high anxiety when it started and had insomnia for weeks. My mom told me to simply write how I felt! Sooooooo, I did just that and walla like magic, I have birthed one of my best achievements to date, KYNG SUPA NOVA’S ADVENTURES ‘OPERATION COVID-19’ WITH FAMILY, WE CAN CONQUER ALL!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have struggled with self-esteem, self-worth, and self-love! Stimming from childhood trauma with having a father there but not being supportive as a father should be, I was torn between chasing him down to wondering what I did for him to treat me as if I was disposable. As a result, I strove to be every type of woman to men I have dated & married to no avail and it ALL led me back to ME, MYSELF, AND I! I am a perfectionist and I hold myself to, sometimes, unrealistic standards and others too. I hold no punches and speak my mind, as a result, I have been in the middle of chaotic situations that could have cost my life! I am still here so I still have work to do here on this planet! I am LOVING ME, MYSELF, AND I first, it’s ALL ABOUT ME, NOW! I AM HERE TO STAY!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Certified Professional Coder working remotely for hospitals in the DMV and an Author with my 1st Edition Children’s Adventure Book available on Amazon (Paperback & eBook) and Ingramspark (Hardback)! EXCITINGLY, you guys should be receiving a package with gift bags and my book to distribute to your community of readers very soon! Moreover, I specialize in serving my community and uplifting others, I LOVE IT! I am known for being out-spoken, fun-loving, loyal, generous, authentic, and genuine! I am most proud of my resilience in the ability to see the silver lining in life!
My work ethic, experience, knowledge, wisdom, introspecti0n, and fearlessness are all qualities that set me apart from others. Seemingly, it is extremely hard to find quality people who take pride in themselves with UNWAVERING morals and principles. I am old school when it comes to family, friends, community, unity, and intimate relationships thus, certain things are off limits and these new folks just do whatever these days.
What’s next?
My plans are to have the BESTSELLING Children’s Adventure Series Keepsake in the galaxy! Working on building a great relationship with the school systems. My books are filled with activities I know both children and teachers will enjoy! The little superheroes count globes throughout and write the sum of each in space provided on every page, there are questions Nova asks that they can answer in a journaling activity at the end of the adventure! I am also working on a cartoon and my editors are encouraging me to create a game in the Metaverse based on Kyng Supa Nova’s Adventures! They are working together now with the brainstorming on that project. So, I’m excited to see what my team will come up with, so look out for it. Furthermore, I will be donating to children’s hospitals across the country and working with some folks in Africa and the Caribbean to distribute my books in their stores! I am looking into the NFT market to monetize more of my creativity! Purchasing more stocks, cryptocurrency, precious metals, and a trust fund for whenever I slow down to have children.
