Rising Stars: Meet Kris Hall

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kris Hall.

Hi Kris, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a mom, accountant, personal trainer, meditation coach, and now author. When diving deeper into my spirituality, I looked for a book to basically confirm what I was going through was normal and that I was not losing it. This book did not exist for me, so after a few journal entries, I decided to create that book for those who may have gone/be going through something similar.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Outside of multi-tasking several careers and roles in life, the journey was exceptionally difficult yet therapeutic. I wrote “Leaving Your Mind to Find Yourself” as I was actively going through my spiritual journey, so that includes writing through the dark days, the hard times, and tears. Everyone always talks about what it looks like when you made it to the “other side of things”, the success, and will only reference having “gone through some things to get there.” I had to actively document what “going through some things” looked like for me while I was going through it, so that people actually know, when they see me now in my winning season, it did not always look like this, it looked bad, and even if it looks bad for you right now, your winning season is coming too.

I am also not a very vulnerable person, so actually writing down my feelings for the world to see was the most uncomfortable part of the process and honestly still is. On top of that, there were so many difficulties with publishing, which ultimately led to me self-publishing.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My goal in life is to make life for someone else drastically better and I feel like healing is the best way to that. I do this by sharing my journey, my thoughts on spirituality and producing content that promotes healing. I believe that healing is the catalyst for creating our best lives. I am most proud of self-publishing my debut publication “Leaving Your Mind to Find Yourself: A Spiritual Journey and Your Confirmation You’re Not Losing It” and taking the steps to heal myself so that I can be a better example and person, for not only my son but those around me. Along with the story Leaving Your Mind to Find Yourself, I’ve also published a journal of shadow work for men and women to write out and explore areas within themselves that maybe they did not know needed attention.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I want readers to know that we create/manifest every aspect of our lives, good, bad and ugly. Through that recognition, we can train ourselves to be intentional about our days, our goals, and our healing so that we can create the lives we ultimately want to live. I do my best to live this way. I also want readers to know that spirituality does not have a certain “look”. Some days, I let my locs flow, listen to soul music and meditate. Other days, I may throw on a wig, a Skulley, and blast Tupac half the day. You never know what you are going to get. Your life is what You decide it will be and look like.
