Today we’d like to introduce you to Stanley Adams.
Hi Stanley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was born into music and have family in the industry. My interest began during my early childhood. Anything that involved music, I surrounded myself around. That included making beats, engineering, fashion, writing, marketing, etc. I worked day and night on my craft until I built a name for myself. In 2015, shortly after being released from prison, I decided to take a more serious approach and enrolled in SAE School for recording and engineering in Atlanta. Although I did not complete the full program, I learned a lot of things that elevated my craft from a musical and business standpoint. More recently, I have been working on a series of projects, from building my brand, my business, social media presence, recording music videos, performing and launching my Street Ties ENT merchandise. It’s up from here!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. I spent time in prison more than once. I also had to learn to put me first because I had a lot of people around me that either wasn’t good for me or just riding my wave. I had fake love from friends and family. Lost love one’s along the way. But I had to push forward because if I don’t, I’d be dead or back locked up. Still figuring life out and staying focused even with the odds against me.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Music. I’m a rap artist with an original sound and a businessman. I am a brand. Street Ties Entertainment LLC is my business and it goes further than just music. I’m connected to the streets on different levels. I give to the needy and feed the hungry. Staying connected no matter the status is something I’m proud of.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I’m not shy of risk, never been. Everything that I have now and who I’ve become has all transpired from taking risks. Being complacent gets you nowhere and I got to stay more focused than ever. But it has to be worth it, so I always make sure that whatever I’m risking, it’s worth it. The only way to evolve.
