Rising Stars: Meet Tiffany Grant Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Grant Brown.

Tiffany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a woman in process, a mother, a wife, and on a journey of unconditional self-love. I was among the number of women who I’ve seen not realize how much power they have to create the lives that they wish to live and I got tired of living a life that did not reflect what I wanted to see in the world. Whether it was a job that they hated, a relationship that wasn’t balanced, a religious tradition that felt oppressive, whatever the case may be. I understood that oppression because I had lived it. And I got to the place where I had to make an intentional choice to decide to make something different. And once I made that choice, all manner of manifestations began to transform my life. I support others to make those same intentional choices to transform their lives.

Every feminine-identified person has this choice to make. It is an intentional decision to name, to claim, and to move in the direction of our true north. I like to describe myself as an Empress and that is the audacity of an empress–to decide that today is where I build an empire of love for 7 generations that will last for 7 generations beyond me.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has most certainly not been a smooth road. I have faced the gamut of obstacles from perfection to grief to rejection. In the moments that these obstacles surfaced along my journey, I did not always understand the purpose. Perfection had me believing that my worth was tied to how well I did something and when those standards were not met, I was often overly self-critical especially when my own expectations were not met. I have since learned to try new things and let go of expectations. A lot of the grief that has come up for me over the years was a real grief around expectations or how I thought things “should be.” Letting go of those expectations has allowed for me to co-create all together something new. Lastly, I have learned anything I am kept from is on purpose and that rejection is truly my protection.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am Tiffany, a Doula and Femmepowerment Coach. I am the founder of Birthing the Empress Within. Birthing the Empress Within is committed to helping femme-identified people to harness their innate ability to create the lives they want for themselves, to connect to their inner divinity, and cultivate meaningful and flourishing connections with themselves and others.

An empress is a woman who is the sovereign ruler of an empire or a goddess embodying all things growth, nurturing sensuality, femininity, self-care, and creativity. Whether you are a mother or not–I support others in realizing that they have the fertility of the Empress within them and the imagination to dream up a world and create a life with all of the abundance, love, connection, and healing that they desire. I wholeheartedly believe that we can all literally birth ANYTHING in which we desire.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I am deeply committed to the work of inviting others into my own journey of understanding my innate ability to create the life I want for myself. I am currently living in the moments that I once dreamt of as a result of intentional choices and transformation. I left my 9-5 to create and live in that dream and I’d love to have you follow along on that journey so that you can begin to create but ALSO live in the dream that you have for yourself.

Be on the lookout for offerings from me real soon, including an e-course for new birthing people navigating life postpartum and their families among other new exciting offerings in 2023.
