Rising Stars: Meet Tiffany Mulan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Mulan.

Hi Tiffany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I actually kept coming across business owners on my feed. Every day I saw someone doing something and that fueled me to go for something of my own. Also, I started network marketing after graduating college, and while that experience didn’t go well for me, I gained a little insight about what it takes to run a business of my own.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been challenging in certain areas for sure. I always keep in mind that in the world of business, I’ll encounter a number of things early on that will make me feel like I’m failing, but I just have to stay focused. Definitely earning comsistent sales and getting the name out there a lot more. I have so many more spaces to be in and so many more tables to be seated at and so many more doors to walk through. I remember when I first started as well and the lack of support from close ones made me already feel as though it wouldn’t go well for me, but I realized that as long as I remain confident in who I am and what I execute, everything else will fall into place.”

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
So right now, I’m actually a copywriter. I do freelance work for a marketing group and I write pieces for a number of publications right now on top of running two other business and PersonaliTEA. I specialize in writing and all things creative and that definitely shows when it comes to my company names, concepts, and slogans! Everything down to my product names are witty and I always aim for something fun. PersonaliTEA is a tea company that allows you to mix and match herbs in order to personalize your own tea flavors! I aim for people to have freedom of customization while still achieving health and wellness. I’m most proud of myself for overcoming so much in my life while continuing to strive to be my best self. I’ll say my will to continue even on the zero-days sets me apart from others—that and the fact that I aim for my business to be a well-rounded experience. I try to avoid just “selling tea.” I make sure to always interact with customers, attend pop-up shops to get to know more people in person, and host events—in fact, on October 13th, I just celebrated the one year anniversary of launching PersonaliTEA and hosted a tea party! It was so much fun. I hope to do other events in the near future for everyone to have a great experience outside of just shopping online.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Ashley Leggs’s “Slay Girl Slay” podcast. It’s like every time she releases a new episode, the message of it ALWAYS speaks to me. I swear, it’s like she knows what I’m going through every week.
