Meet Tom The Mail Man of TheDeliveryCrew

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tom The Mail Man.

Tom The Mail, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Everything started for me around my junior year of high school. I started recording at one of my friends crib close to the school & eventually started trying to do that every other day until senior year, I found a place where I could record for free but in exchange, I’d have to mix all of the other artists who booked sessions their basically without getting paid. The summer after I graduated high school I finally got some solid equipment I could use and take with me to college and their things really started to pick up for me.

One of my songs titled “curse3dgirls” picked up a ton of traction and got me a show in Atlanta. While attending the school, I was on the way to getting a solid scholarship for track but decided to leave track/school behind me so I could chase music full time. Lately, things have been starting to pay off as of 2018, I really appreciate the people that I’ve met in Atlanta I feel like I’ve really been given the chance to thrive as an artist because of all the opportunities that have been given to me this last year. I just released a music video for my new single “Lil Tommy” and I plan to make 2019 a super memorable year for myself and TheDeliveryCrew.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Biggest issues for me was transportation and money. I do almost everything by myself and it’s been that way for a long time. My family isn’t super fortunate so, for the most part, any funding for the music is coming from my pockets. However, I am really fortunate to have a group of people who can back me when I really need them and I feel like I’ve only been able to stay a float because of their help.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about TheDeliveryCrew – what should we know?
In a nutshell, I’m an artist. I make music, model, act, direct and sing on occasions. TheDeliveryCrew (TDC) is something I created and me and my closet friends plan to build it into an empire. The members consist of Keeks(Graphic designer), Delopapi (Photographer/Artist) and Kotykillem (Musician/Artist). The thing I am most proud of when it comes to TDC is the fact that every person in the group has a genuine energy the surrounds them. Each and every member can stand on their own and be phenomenal regardless of who is around them and still manage not to be conceited or arrogant. These people are 100% themselves and in this day and age, I feel like that’s something that deserves praise, a lot of people aren’t comfortable in their own skin & seeing the way they carry themselves inspires me daily. I’m proud about the fact that I have the greatest people on earth by my side for the rest of my life & the true family-like setting that TheDelivveryCrew carries is what sets us apart from everyone in my opinion.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Confidence, without confidence you can’t have faith. Without confidence, you won’t be able to stay strong when things aren’t going the way you want. Without confidence in what you do perseverance isn’t an option, I feel like confidence plays a huge role in being an artist and without it, you won’t be able to progress at all.
