Meet Brandon Ramsey of Ramsey Credit Services in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Ramsey.

Brandon, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m originally from the Eastside of Detroit, Mi. Growing up, there was CRAZY lol, but I honestly wouldn’t change it for anything. I learned survival and hunger from the rough times I had there, which I feel have really helped me stay focused when things are good and bad in my life now. I left Detroit and briefly went to college in Cleveland, OH before enlisting in the army.

After two tours to Iraq, I got out the army in 2010 and started trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I tried everything, I contracted in Afghanistan and Kuwait for the government, started a hair company while overseas, moved to Atlanta and started a trucking company, an auto brokerage I mean you name it I’ve done it. I found my way into the credit business after working for several years as a finance manager for several dealerships helping customers get approved for auto loans. Initially, I was just trying to get people help to get approved but it quickly grew way beyond what I had imagined it would just from word of mouth alone, and at that point I knew I wanted to see this thing threw. I was really making life-changing impacts happen for people, and that felt better than anything I could get from a job or anything else I was doing.

Has it been a smooth road?
This has been everything but a smooth road for me, I learned everything from trial and error. A lot of my struggles came from me trying to do it all, and not learning how to delegate. My quality of service and life was at an all-time low because I was treating it like a hustle and not like a business. I was unable to put my all in any part of my business because I was trying to do it all, but once I learned to delegate and automate my processes it allowed me to step back and manage and not be as involved in the day to day minor tasks.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Ramsey Credit Services story. Tell us more about the business.
My company “Ramsey Credit Services”, is a credit repair outsourcing agency for businesses and employees in the financial and insurance industries. We assist non qualifiable credit clients in getting their scores and credit report to qualifying standards in a short period of time. We specialize in removing inaccurate negative items from our client’s credit reports and educating them on how to establish and maintain great credit scores and reports.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
5-10 years from now, I see this as more of an everyday conversation for people. Right now, a lot of people are still learning the importance of building and maintaining credit, but as more and more people are seeing how obtainable money is for business and personal use the need for them to get their credit in the best possible shape matters more.
