Meet Von Thomas of Auravon Shop in Jonesboro

Von, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Hello everyone! My name is Von Thomas and I’m a 27-year-old Texas native currently living in Atlanta, Georgia. I started Auravon in 2018, right after a huge life change. I knew I couldn’t continue to put my dreams on hold because tomorrow is never promised.

So since then, I’ve made it a goal to create something near and dear to me that gives back to humanity and Mother Earth. Plant-based, hand made, and all-natural so I’m very proud of my baby. One quote I’ve learned recently is “sometimes you win, sometimes you learn,” and to me that’s just a positive outlook on the trials we sometimes face on our journey.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road at all but it’s so worth it. One struggle I’ve had is being consistent during trials because it’s hard taking care of business when your personal life gets in the way but I’ve learned how to conquer that move forward.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Auravon Shop – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I specialize in candle making, design, and perfume. What I’m most proud of is the fact that this is a black-owned sustainable business that is different from others because of our values and beliefs about humanity and Mother Earth.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Future plans are getting a mobile van for the business! I want to travel the world with Auravon so I’m very excited about that!
