Meet Andrea Williams of Organic Beauty by Drea in Stone Mountain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Williams.

Andrea, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I lost my corporate job as an IT Project Manager in September 2018 and ran out of savings. I wasn’t able to land another job and I started to question my life’s purpose. I was: modeling, bartending, doing makeup, and anything else I could think of except anything demeaning to survive. Earlier this year, I was facing foreclosure on my house, but Coronavirus put a hold on that. I ended up coming up with the idea to start my own juicing business after almost giving up on life altogether. I started my business with an EBT card and $200. It’s crazy but Coronavirus actually saved my life. I found my purpose during this pandemic, which is helping people feel better about their body and overall health and well-being.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s been a pretty smooth ride for me overall. Starting from the bottom has its advantages because you can’t make big financial mistakes. I have an advantage as well, being that I have project management skills. I basically treated my business like it was a project I was managing and came up with a plan, budget for materials, and marketing scheme.

Organic Beauty by Drea – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Organic Beauty by Drea is a company that specializes in providing affordable detox juices, supplements, and products that beautify and cleanse the body. My focus is on how different fruits, vegetables, and herbs help get rid of the toxins and parasites in our bodies, which cause sickness, fatigue, and unpleasant changes to our outward appearance.

As a model and beauty influencer, even though I was struggling, I still managed my weight and outward appearance. I’ve been juicing for over 5yrs. I bought my first juicer in 2014. I figured I could make a business out of my lifestyle. I’m known for my shape, smile, and natural hair. I credit my genetics and diet to that! When my customers come back for more, that lets me know I made the right choice to start this business. I know I’m on to something when success follows. There are a lot of great juicing businesses that exist in Atlanta, and we are all needed. I serve all of Atlanta, but Stone Mountain gets the best deal because they qualify for free delivery.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for me is in the feedback I receive from my customers. I love hearing how my juices, products, or supplements actually worked for them. I love their excitement when they come back to purchase more. That makes me feel successful knowing they are content with my services.
