Check out our conversation with Darius below.

Hi Darius, thank you so much for sitting down with us again. For folks who might have missed our initial interview, can you start by briefly introducing yourself?
I’m a Social Worker, Author, and Radio Host. I have been hosting my radio show for over 4 years now and I enjoy engaging the general public through that platform.

Alright so let’s go back in time – when did you become a radio host and what led you to becoming one?
I became a radio host four years ago. And the opportunity opened up for me to do so after I published my first book. While I was on a year-long radio tour engaging the general public and marketing the book I wrote. I had a radio interview with a host on the station I currently host a show on. At that time the program director was listening to the interview I had with the host of the show and she really like my interview. And it was from that experience the program director made contact with me and she then offered me an opportunity to host my own show and the rest is history.

How did becoming a radio host contribute to your own personal development and growth?
Becoming a radio host has been invaluable to my very own personal development. Taking on these tasks has truly help me develop a lot more self-confidence in myself. And from that, I think my personality, communication, and social skills have blossomed from this experience and I look forward to holds for me in my future endeavors.

What are your keys to success in balancing out your career, personal, and family obligations?
I make sure I keep a schedule to map out my day-to-day obligations. That way nothing will slip through the cracks and everything that needs to be done that day will be completed. Also, I have learned about the importance of setting boundaries and that has kept me from overextending myself with work and other obligations that are really demanding of attention at times. Because Self-care and spending time with my friends and family are a very important component of my life.

It was so great to reconnect. One last question – how can our readers connect with you, learn more or support you?
