Hi Olivia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The beginning of high school is where my creativity bloomed. I began making videos on Youtube and playing with photography/videography on the classic Windows Movie Maker. But one thing that always mattered to me was my personal style. I was the kid who wore funky accessories and wore two earrings in each piercing to customize the look of my earrings. I saw a lack of creativity in the accessory industry with generic designs and materials to create the earrings and I always knew I wanted to change that narrative with my personal style.
Thrill Lobe was unintentionally created by being myself and rocking my own custom earrings in my high school hallways and people being curious about my crossword puzzle earrings and my first love of fabric button earrings. I packed the idea of being a handmade jeweler up for a few years due to the pressures of focusing in college to pursue nursing. However, if there is one thing about me: Earrings is my coffee in the morning. I always loved how earrings can be so small but yet so intentional and energizing, so I decided to spend a few years educating myself more about the craft. In September 2018, I opened the Thrill Lobe shop with my first Revival Collection featuring our classic sustainable fabric button earring design. This collection was meant to bring awareness for the earring industry to remind others that earrings may be small but they are mighty.
Our earrings creates intentions to be bold and expressive because we are all creatives and we deserve it (without the expense of damaging the Earth)! Becoming a 100% zero waste company is one of our missions to provide not only a colorful and expressive world but to educate others on the value that slow fashion and sustainability practices that slows down waste. We went from a few classmates rocking my creations to hundreds and hundreds of people in our Thrill Fam community all over the country and parts of the world such as Jamaica, England, and even Australia! To say I am grateful and full is an understatement. I truly believe that my Thrill Fam is one of the best communities on the internet! They remind me of my purpose and intentions with Thrill Lobe everyday to express yourself and to never silence your thoughts and ideas. Thrill Lobe is a reminder to be yourself no matter what rooms you place yourself in. You are supposed to be there so look good doing it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think my biggest struggle with Thrill Lobe, in the beginning, was my confidence to continue going through it, especially when you were not sure if sales were going to come in or if the right audience was receiving my work. However, I always told myself that whatever happens, earrings will always stay with me. It is a love that I grew for myself originally so I know that nobody can take that from me and no amount of money can stop me. So once I applied that thought process to my creative gifts, it keeps my head clear and focused. Confidence in myself and continuing education on my talent has helped me grow as a creative entrepreneur.

I create handmade statement earrings with bold and unique materials, designs, and textures. We are most proud of our promise to the Earth by always having sustainability practices at the forefront. That includes sustainable, re-loved vintage fabrics for our select earrings, zero waste practices for all of our earrings, and Earth-friendly approaches throughout our business. We are also a color-positive brand so we do not shy away from your favorite childhood colors!
