Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley LeeAnn.
Hi Ashley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
On December 29, 1982, I was born to now Pastors Frank and Ellen Boggan in the small town of Selma, Alabama! I’m the eldest of their two children and single supermom to two amazing growing boys Aiden 11, and Austin 7! I’ve always had a passion for the broken and wanted to give to others what wasn’t given to me when I was charting unfriendly waters. The year was 2015; the month was September; I was out of work at the time, walking through my first divorce with a heart full of thoughts on how I could encourage the broken. There’s always been something about me (I now know it’s the call of God and His anointing on my life) that caused people to trust me with their darkest, deepest issues as they searched for encouragement while scratching their way to the surface for another breath. My spirit was always moved, and I wanted to help as many as I could, but I didn’t know-how. One day I went to the park and as I was praying, I heard Broken Women Win in my spirit. I knew it was God!
Soon after, I created a Facebook and Instagram page to uplift and inspire women who had been in shattered, dilapidated situations left feeling there was no hope in sight for them. After building a presence on both platforms, I launched Broken Women Win Podcast Memorial Day weekend of 2018 and relaunched my YouTube Channel as Broken Women Win TV! Fast forward to the present day, 2021, I’ve rebranded to reflect my growth, healing, and restoration in Christ! I’m now also a published author of PUSH A Ground Zero Recovery Manual, working on my second book to release this summer, and under the unction of the Holy Spirit, I’ve rebranded my ministry from Broken Women Win to Resilient Women Win!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When Broken Women Win was birthed, I was in the middle of my first divorce. I knew in my heart it was imperative that no woman, or anyone for that matter, would experience the pain I was inwardly suffering through alone. Yes, I had the support of some around me, but my struggle wasn’t theirs. I wanted to be relatable, raw, and real with my approach as I ministered. I never wanted to be deemed a compassionless follower of Christ as some in the body of Christ had been (and still are at times) to me. I wanted to represent Christ’s compassion to the fullest, and who’d better do it than someone who’s been in constant desperate need of Christ’s love, forgiveness, and compassion.
This walk I’m on, which is the path I’ve chosen to be completely sold out to Christ, has come with its own set of challenges and difficulties. But I made it through by God’s grace and His illuminating Word! In my book and across all of my platforms, I speak openly about how I’ve experienced domestic violence, three divorces in total, miscarriage, depression, suicidal thoughts, and much abandonment. There were times I went the way I felt I should go and I didn’t completely hearken to the leading of the Holy Spirit, which resulted in much pain. There were many times I wanted to give up, throw in the towel, and honestly, I had no will to live. I thank God daily for His saving grace and redeeming love!
I’m now unapologetically unashamed to share my story, with all the mud and dirt that comes along with the blooming of this new chapter of my life! I use the experiences I’ve gone through and triumphed over to help the next person discover their resilience in Christ beyond a ramshackle past! I’ve learned, God NEVER calls the qualified but qualifies the call! Through Christ, I’ve turned my pain into progress, and I use my platforms to uplift the masses by snatching them out of the pit of despair as a modern-day hope dealer! I find so much joy and fulfillment in showing others how to dismantle shame, cast down strongholds, and use those life lessons that drowned them to teach them how to swim.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a faith-based content creator, author, and aspiring life coach! I’ve always had a passion for the broken and those who are stuck wondering how to get out of the pit of despair! With the help of an amazing mentor, I finally found the courage to gain my footing and share my story with the world! I’m known for being an inspiration to the lost and modern-day hope dealer to those in despair and seeking peace. I’m most proud of my resilience and courage to share my experiences with the world.
When we embark upon life’s struggles, we don’t search for individuals who are perfect or without flaws; we search for those who are relatable and have the fruit to show they’ve truly overcome what was meant to destroy them. My transparency and authenticity are what set me apart! I’ve decided to keep it H.O.T. at all times, Honest, Open, and Transparent! By the Grace of God, I now use my past experiences to help others pull the broken from desolation to destiny!
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years, I see myself as a full-time entrepreneur / faith-based content creator and life coach! I desire to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ on a daily through my content and by helping others see what Christ sees in them! This world is full of broken/shattered individuals who are seeking peace and unable to find it. I know I’m not called to everyone, however, I do believe I will know my tribe when I see them!
