Meet Julie Robinson

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Julie Robinson. Julie was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Judith White.

Julie, can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Throughout my career, the one thread that runs through the different jobs is what I’m most passionate about: helping others. I graduated college and started with the State Attorney’s Office (prosecutor) in Jacksonville, FL. As a paralegal, my role was to assist the attorneys with their cases and develop relationships with our partners, law enforcement, witnesses and crime victims/families. It was my pleasure to assist any way I could. After my twins were born, I knew being a work at home mom would be the priority so I resigned and found something to do while raising the boys. That’s when I became a jewelry sales rep, going out a few nights a week to make some extra money. I quickly found that helping others with their business was a better use of my time and over the course of the next few years, I developed a team of over 250 in 13 different states. This was a wonderful way to be home with my sons and still help others through this “little” jewelry business. Life happens and we moved to Atlanta where traffic and things in the industry began to change. My boys were in high school (yes 16 yrs with the jewelry company) and I didn’t want to be gone at night or on the weekends. So I found a new love…..representing a furniture paint company where I helped others by teaching them how to use our products. I quickly became their one and only National Sales Rep and Corporate Trainer. In 3 years, I helped them grow from 13 stores locally in GA to 152 stores nationally. Again….life happens, things change and I found myself ready to go out on my own. I spent the next 2 years running my own business, helping others with their décor needs and I even opened my own brick and mortar storefront. My highlight each day was meeting new people. When it was time to find what my husband calls a “big girl job”, I was blessed with a new opportunity…..currently I’m a Business Development Manager for Unique Vacations, which is the sales arm of Sandals Resorts. My favorite thing about my job is helping the travel advisors be successful thru events, trainings and resort trips. I’m in sales however I don’t sell trips….I help them! And the relationships are what matters most.

We’ve heard great things about your organization. For our readers who might not be as familiar, can you please tell them about Unique Vacations?
Unique Vacations is the sales division of Sandals Resorts. As a Business Development Manager, my role is to assist our travel advisors/partners with growing their businesses. I help with local events, resort and product training, social media connections, and anything else that has to do with increasing their business with our resorts. The Sandals and Beaches brand strives for service and luxury above all else. The partnership with the travel advisor matters to us, and I work hard to make sure they know that the relationship is my priority.

As you know, we’re big fans of Judith White and we know you’ve worked with them quite a bit as well. We’d love to hear about your experience working with Judith White.
Judith White is a very special colleague, and dear friend. We met a few years ago because she owns a top selling travel agency in my territory. She works hard for her clients to give them the best vacation experience available. And she knows with the Sandals brand that the clients will receive a 5 star luxury vacation. We have partnered on multiple occasions hosting events for her potential clients. She’s an incredible destination wedding and honeymoon planner with romance in mind. Judith is thoughtful and extremely detail orientated especially with her brides. Judith’s contribution for her clients is invaluable. They are blessed to have her and so am I.
