Exploring Life & Business with Gilberto Herrera

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gilberto Herrera.

Hi Gilberto, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My professional career started out in sales. I was a telephone sales rep where I would call businesses that were not doing business with the bank I worked at and schedule appointments to meet with our staff all over the nation shortly after I was recruited into the branch as a banker.

After I left the bank, I became a direct marketing executive for a company that worked with fortune 500 companies, then graduated to outside sales for the largest privately held marketing company in the nation. I exceeded my expectations in every role; however, I knew that my end game was not working for someone else for the rest of my life.

I took those skillsets and started a real estate investment firm with an associate of mine. It took off faster than we both expected, so I had to leave corporate America. Once I left, my clients still wanted to work with me, so I started consulting with them on my own. So now, here we are. I now own a financial services firm with a team of close to 100 financial consultants. I still consult with businesses in the areas of direct marketing, sales and branding. Lastly, my team and I are still aggressively acquiring residential real estate and within the next year, we will acquire our first multifamily property.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not. I lost a close friend, made some bad investments that cost me a lot of money and time, and sometimes your peace of mind.

I started a business with an associate and he and I no longer speak. The thing about starting a business with friends and family, especially when all parties involved are not knowledgeable in business is the fact that there are no clear roles and duties assigned. In my case, we both wanted the same outcome, but the way we went about it was very different and it caused us to dissolve our partnership and friendship. I’ve also made financial investments in real estate deals that weren’t profitable and ended up being a liability to me rather than an asset. If I had to track the amount I’ve lost in total, it’s about $50k overall.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Gilberto Herrera Enterprises is the mother company to my financial company, my real estate empire, and my consulting firm. My mission is to help individuals increase their net worth. Personally and in business so they can have time and financial freedom.

I specialize in building brands that increase the value of everyone that works with my companies. Before we put a product or service in front of you, we provide a financial education session for individuals and on the business side, we make sure that we are clear on the financial outcomes you want in your business. What sets me apart from others is my approach. Everyone of our clients’ financial awareness and business knowledge is raised to a level that they oftentimes were not aware that it could be raised to. That’s why they call me the “King of Increase”.

We give everyone the tools to function on their own but treat them so well that they never want to leave. What I am most proud of brand-wise is being able to work with some of the top companies and individuals, so much so that my calendar is booked months at a time, even during the pandemic. So on the personal side, if you want to really put your money to work without changing much, my team is here to serve. If your business is looking to increase their sales in the marketplace, we can assist you with a sales strategy that supports your current marketing strategy and is in line with your brand.
