Today we’d like to introduce you to Terrence Robinson.
Terrence, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Terrence Cortez Robinson, and I was born in Columbus, Georgia, on January 16, 1990. I am a graduate of Kendrick High School; I always had a passion for music and technology. So, I went to college and received my first Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from Columbus State University in December 2014. I also decided to go back to school and pursue my passion of audio and music and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Audio Production from Full Sail University in December 2019.
That IT degree definitely paid off, even before I fully graduated. During my junior year in college, I started my professional IT career in software development at TSYS (Total System Services). All the while, I found time to help volunteer on the weekends at my local church doing the live sound mixing. I stayed consistent in the process, and now I am currently the lead audio engineer and co-leader of the Audiovisual and Lighting team at The Bridge Church in Columbus, GA.
At the age of 19, I became serious about music production as a result of having a hobby creating beats for my older brother and his local rap group on my old Dell laptop. As my interest in music began to grow to new heights, I started making instrumentals for local and regional music artists. On February 22, 2012, I signed a contract to become a music producer with TrackHuslaz Music Group, which was a new and upcoming music production company under Defient Entertainment at that time, a subsidiary of Grand Hustle Records. I went on to work with many hip-hop, R&B, pop, and EDM artists not only in the U.S but also from Europe and Africa.
In January 2020, I launched my own audio production company, Resound Sounds. As I continued to grow and increase my skills and his knowledge of music, the following year in January 2021, I went on to expand my company to Resound Solutions, which is the management company for Resound Sounds (audio/music arm), Resound Media (Media / Web arm), and TRobDaProducer (my producer brand).
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been as smooth road, and it still isn’t smooth today. I have had my sleepless nights along the way, working hard just to gain the knowledge and experience today. It was that motivation in me to always do better and to achieve better.
This brings me to the remembrance of how I came up. I remember my college days where I would start my days early at 4:00 am, just to walk 2 hours from home to a minimum wage fast-food job. I would work anywhere from 4-6 hours every day. I would leave work and walk about an hour to take my college classes. Around 7:30 pm (when classes ended), I would start my 2-hour walk back home.
But something in me knew that I couldn’t do this for the rest of my life. I stepped out on faith and prepared myself for a college job fair put on by my university. I walked up to a booth, gave the recruiter my resume, and was hired a day later. This gave me the motivation to continue to move forward and to always keep striving for more.

I am the proud CEO and owner of Resound Solutions, LLC, which is the parent company of Resound Sounds, Resound Media, and TRobDaProducer.com. Resound Sounds is the audio and music arm of Resound Solutions, LLC. Resound Sounds offers audio editing, mixing and mastering, work for hire services for live sound operation, audio voiceovers, foley recording and sound design, and other audio and music services.
Resound Media is the media and web development arm of Resound Solutions, LLC. Resound Media offers website design and development, flyer designs, logo designs, video editing, live stream content creation, and more media-related services.
TRobDaProducer (TRobDaProducer.com) is the producer brand (stage name) under Resound Solutions, LLC. In the producer community, I go by that name. On my website, I offer beat leases, collaborations, custom beats, and more.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I really don’t believe in good luck, but I do believe in being blessed (by God) in life, as an employee, and as a business owner. I am a firm believer that faith without works is dead, meaning that you can have all the faith in the world. But if you don’t put in the work to help your faith, it won’t come to fruition.
