Community Highlights: Meet Kat Bailey of The Guided Being

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kat Bailey.

Hi Kat, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
After graduating from The University of Georgia and working my way up the corporate ladder for the last ten years, I reached a point where I realized that the fulfillment that I was looking for would be found through entrepreneurship. Although I am grateful for everything I have learned and how far I’ve come in the corporate world, I wanted to fulfill my own goals, have creative freedom, and help others in more meaningful ways. I’ve always been interested in spiritual tools and practices like yoga, meditation, and crystals, but it wasn’t until I dove into my personal healing journey that I began to take it more seriously.

I created The Guided Being Crystal Shop to help others along their spiritual and healing journeys. Crystal Healing played a huge role in my mental health, wellness, and shadow work, so having a safe space for people to visit and use some of the same tools that helped me get to a place of peace was my main goal starting this business. I love the community that I am building and the excitement I see from customers either adding to their crystal collection or getting their first stone. I am still learning so much about being an entrepreneur, and I have so many plans on ways I will continue to grow my business. I do know that this business is the fulfillment that I was seeking all of these years.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have definitely been some roadblocks and bumps along the way. I believe that the main struggle for me was simply getting started. I still work a full-time job, so finding the time to dedicate to starting a business was challenging. There was a ton of research and tasks that involved me to apply for a business license and travel to other states to find crystals for my inventory. There were plenty of moments where I felt intimidated because I didn’t know what I was doing, and the world of entrepreneurship was brand new to me. However, I knew that this was my path, so I scheduled time to dedicate to my business on the weekends and reminded myself that I could do anything I put my mind to. I think it is good for anyone to remember that when you have those moments of doubt or struggles, they are there to teach you a lesson and remind you of your goals. Everything happens for you and not to you, so keep pushing!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Guided Being is an online shop that provides ethically sourced healing crystals, metaphysical tools, and handmade oils charged by each Full Moon.

My mission is to help others along their spiritual journey back to self by providing and educating my customers on spiritual tools and healing. I provide a safe space for my customers to learn and use the work of energy healing to heal trauma, unblock chakras, improve wellness, mental health, become magnets for money and abundance, and attract love. I am here to remind my customers that they have the power to create the lives that they desire.

My crystals are ethically sourced from all over the world, from places like Madagascar, Brazil, Mexico, and more. I cleanse each stone once received and charged them under the full moon. My essential oils are handmade and infused with crystals, flowers and are also charged under each full moon. I look forward to expanding my business and growing The Guided Being community even more!

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Dedicate time to your business. I know that our lives can get busy and sometimes goals and dreams can get put on the back burner when you are trying to simply keep your head above water. Keep in mind that those dreams will never be fulfilled if you keep waiting until the perfect moment to start. There will never be a perfect moment. My advice will be to set aside at least 1-2 hours each day to work on your business and building your brand. Consistent work will definitely pay off.
