Kherra, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m Kherra Thompson, the owner of Creationz By Khe LLC. What is Creationz By Khe you ask. I provide hair care services and also hair care products based on your individual hair care needs. My business was inspired by my own hair journey, I have been trying to find the right products that will not dry my scalp out after washing, keep my locs moist between washes, no product build up for my retwist and my scalp moisturized to eliminate flacking. I was so overwhelmed on wash day because I would have so many products on my counter. I was about 16 when I actually got into ingredients that is good for my hair (black hair). After a while, I started researching all-natural ingredients based on hair texture and problems. I wanted to make a product line that is for black woman and men specifically on their hair type, texture, and scalp problems. Black women want long, flowing, strong, hair that’s why we invest in wigs and extensions or invest in products that only work for a while. Why keep investing when we can grow it naturally. That’s my goal to have black women and men feel good about themselves. My products are all handmade, ecofriendly with all natural ingredients, just for you and your needs from alopecia to premature grey.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a struggle, such as life I have had many trials and tribulations such as losing everything to a fire in 2012, being homeless. Through it all I kept God first and just stayed positive that everything happens for a reason.

Creationz By Khe is a product line and service for natural, locs, and damaged hair. All products are made just for you and your hair problems. My products are all natural from herbs around the country, ecofriendly, and guaranteed to work if used regularly. How do I make it based on just your hair needs? First you will contact me to get a short quiz that will ask you questions about your hair, scalp, and day to day activities, I would look over it formulate your shampoo bars, conditioner or mask, hair mist, and hair oil based on your quiz. I would offer you a sample box for starters, if you are satisfied with the results you are able to subscribe to my services which includes a return label which you would send your empty containers back for a refill on all your products and sent back in 48 hours for a small monthly fee. I also provide natural hair services such as braids, crochet, and locs. All my services includes the moisture, growth and condition Creationz by Khe treatment. I also have a beard box for men, The beard box includes an anti-premature grey shampoo, conditioner and mist. This box clears up ingrown hair bumps, dryness, premature grey, and have you growing a full beard that they can be proud of. My longest and most successful product is my growth oil, it moisturize, conditions, grow, and decrease dandruff. What set me apart from other stylist is that I care about your hair not just the money I want everyone to love and enjoy their crown instead of hiding it.
What are your plans for the future?
My goal for Creationz by Khe is to invest the profits into the community. Such as one a month hair services to the homeless, every two week food drive and a rec building for adolescent kids to work on homework, learn trades and new skills.
