Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Anise.
Hi Victoria, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My business was started during COVID when I was laid off from the dental office after being there for four years. I took my last check and I invested it into my brand. I started off selling onesies since we had to be in the house because of the pandemic. Once everything semi-settled down I started selling lingerie. A lot of the items I sell are designed by me. I love how my pieces make women feel confident and sexy. And it grew to be a 6 figure business and counting just by doing what I love.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, you have to motivate yourself every day. You also have to have structure. It’s so much easier going to work for someone else because you know how much you will make, and what your daily task are. With entrepreneurship, you have to be very Discipline. Learning about taxes, bookkeeping & etc has been the hardest for me. You have to do so many jobs as you’re constantly stressed because you don’t want to fail.
As you know, we’re big fans of Victoria Anise Collection. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Victoria Anise specializes in lingerie/ swimwear. All our pieces are very breathtaking a unique. My signature is diamonds. I love things that sparkle. My pieces make you say “Wow”. I love being able to be creative and do things that a lot of people are scared of. I show people it’s ok to be sexy. As long as you are confident that is all that matters. No matter if you want to wear something sexy for your significant other or even if you want to just wear it for yourself, Victoria Anise is the best place for that. We also offer a lot of designs that are perfect for special occasion pictures.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up I wanted to be a nurse practitioner. I love drawing, I love putting things together. I grew up in Birmingham, AL so I didn’t know about entrepreneurship. I was taught you can only be successful going to college. So that’s what I did I was originally in school for nursing until I got pregnant with my son. So I had to do a quicker alternative which was a dental assistant.
