Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlin Correa.
Hi Caitlin, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have a bachelor’s degree in journalism and news reporting from the State University of New York in Plattsburgh and graduated in 2011. After working in retail management, spending some time at home with my young children and making a move across the country to Georgia, I decided to start a virtual assistant business working with female entrepreneurs. I was able to grow my business but wanted to pivot to service the podcast industry. I did some training in audio editing and now solely focus on podcast management, podcast production and audio editing. I work mainly with online and creative entrepreneurs who have a podcast to supplement and grow their businesses.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It was definitely a learning curve when I first started my business with trying to juggle three young children while learning the in’s and out’s of running and growing a business. When I transitioned to podcast and audio work, I had to learn how to edit the audio, which, luckily, I picked up quickly. Running a business at home with children and during a pandemic can be tricky sometimes. But the podcast industry has been amazing to work with and it’s growing everyday!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
CC Media & Co. is a full-service podcast management and production company focusing on providing high-quality podcast services to entrepreneurs and creatives. I like to take all of the work with a podcast off of my client’s plates so that they only have to worry about pressing record and handing over the raw audio to me. I have a workflow and calendar system that makes sure everything get’s done for them and on time without them having to worry or stress.
I now have a virtual assistant helping me grow my business and with some small client tasks but I personally have eyes and ears on every single one of my client’s episodes to make sure that they are as high quality as possible. I think that personal touch by having each episode go through my quality control and editing makes my business different from other large podcast management companies/agencies. I’ve also launched 5+ podcasts for different entrepreneurs within the last two years!
What’s next?
I am looking forward to growing my business right alongside the podcast industry. The podcasting world is growing more and more each day and with that comes a lot of opportunities for me to work with entrepreneurs helping them spread their message and grow their business through audio content. I’d love to grow my team so I can help expand my reach and maybe add some kind of coaching/consulting to my business in the future. I’d also like to launch a podcast of my own eventually!
