Today we’d like to introduce you to Kanise.
Hi Kanise, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a singer and songwriter from Tallahassee, Florida. I’m back-and-forth in between Atlanta, Georgia and plan on moving there permanently soon to pursue a music career. I’ve been doing music since 2019 and have my first EP out, “Truth of the Matter, With my first album coming out soon. I feel that music is a part of my self-expression and it helps me articulate my feelings and life around me. My sound is an eclectic Pop soul vibe. You can find my music on all platforms.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has definitely been a rocky road in a learning process doing music. The one advice that I would give to anyone that is just starting out his plan ahead on what you’re going to do and remember the “industry” part of the music industry.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
What I would really say sets me apart from the rest is lyrical content. From the experiences that I’ve had my lyrics grab attention and don’t let go. I try to give a new perspective from my view of the world and translate it into relatable and catchy sounds that can resonate with anyone. I love what I do and I love the music that I make and I hope that I can spread that love with other people through my sound.
