Hidden Gems: Meet Joanne Ginoris of Microlinksatl

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joanne Ginoris.

Hi Joanne, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My passion and love for making women look and feel beautiful began when I was 9 years old. When I was 15 My mother dealt with traction alopecia, this made her insecure with her appearance and embarrassed to go into a hair salon to avoid having a stylist ask her why she had bald spots. I was already in a trade in school in Miami studying cosmetology part-time after school. I became my mother’s artist of hair. Focusing on recreating her a new bed hair where I would make her brand new long, pretty and most importantly healthy hair extensions. Today 25 years later I’m a proud mother of 4 sons, 2 bachelor’s degrees of science in psychology, biology and a licensed hairstylist, I’m able to apply all of my experience everyday both academically and from life to my over 2500 clients.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Having to balance children, school, personal life, finances, business & mental health.

I’m an international stylist which means I represent every woman.

I love Atlanta and all the cultures co-living in this wonderful city.
