Today we’d like to introduce you to 1-800-TOMMY.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started making music on accident honestly and had doubts about it early on but being persistent and staying focused allowed me to take it to the extent that I’ve taken it thus far… I went from playing basketball and being someone who had colleges recruiting them to having to start all over from scratch and learn from my own mistakes… I recently signed a record deal with RCA Sony. I own a few different companies based out Atlanta and in Miami as well and am looking to continue expanding and growing.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely wasn’t just a walk in the park but I always tried to stay optimistic and knew things could have been way worse than what they were, I’m Blessed… Coming into this the odds were against me and this industry isn’t for everybody and it isn’t just something you can wake up one day and be prepared for it takes toughness.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I make music and creative design for a couple of clothing lines… I’ve always cared more about actually putting in the work and having results come from the seeds I was planting than letting people know what I had going on. I’m proud of myself for never giving up and staying patient… Honestly, I’m still being patient because the journey is just now getting started. My intelligence and mentality is what sets me apart from others.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
To focus on what matters and not mix your emotions with business… Nobody cares about why you didn’t get the job done, they just want to see results. Whatever is meant for you is yours, you or nobody can ruin it.
