Today we’d like to introduce you to Precious Moorer.
Hi Precious, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I began at the age of 23 that’s when I trained to be a tax professional alongside receiving a certification to be a tax professional. I was hired afterwards as a tax preparer with Capital Tax Service, meanwhile, after a year past I left the company and began to build my own clientele database. Starting off with a small database of clients, I became a franchise owner with Future Financial service as a tax professional and tax consultant. I have been recognized for outstanding work in tax preparation, alongside being rewarded for great customer service. However, I chose to continue my studies with getting more in depth with the new laws within the tax industry that are changing each year with earning my record of completion with the IRS. In 2019 that’s when I started my tax business named Tax Prep Block, LLC. I’m currently serving all 50 states in office through a secured online portal meanwhile if mobile services are requested in and around Atlanta, I can service. Right now, I am now teaching and motivating others who has a passion to be in the tax business.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s never a smooth road when becoming a business owner, there are a lot of setbacks and deadlines to meet. The struggle along the way has been with trying to find myself and adding value to Tax Prep Block alongside losing my home which I resided in for three years and moving back in with my mom for another two years now that was a rollercoaster losing my home while trying my best to maintain a happy healthy home for my daughters and myself. Now after four years has passed. I’ve finally been in my own home for almost two years now, years after the tragedy. There has been a lot of set backs and struggles but I never let it detour me of what’s destined. My focus is growing more as a business owner within this industry.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I would define success as one that is earned and not giving and staying firm on every step of the way and realizing that making any progress whether it’s slow, steady, or fast it’s always better than no progress at all when reaching for your goals. I hope this will inspire anyone that’s reading this passage.
