Life & Work with Reesey B

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reesey B.

Hi Reesey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
First off, I was born in college park projects south of the airport. My mom and my dad were both young at the time. I grew up going to a lot of different schools all around the southside Atlanta and east Atlanta area. I was always in talent shows cheerleading or doing something that involved speaking or interacting with my peers. I used to write and listen to music in my headphones daily. I always knew music was my passion. Over the course of the last year or so I decided to actually go through with it and pursue my career and focus my talent on something that I actually love doing. So as of now I’m doing shows hostings features videos and traveling to get my name out there. I have been getting great feedback so I’m excited about what the future has in store for me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been smooth. I would lie if I said it’s always been this glamorous look. I actually got it out of the mud to get where I am. But everybody has obstacles and struggles it’s how you deal with them and overcome them that’s the part that really matters.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a musician. I create hip hop/rap music. I think my specialty is my ability to create all different types of music no set genre. The thing that sets me apart is I have my own sound. I don’t sound like any artist that’s out here and I have my own wave. I’m most proud of just being me staying authentic and remaining humble no matter what’s to come.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I think my attitude, my people person skills my eagerness to work and connect with others is going to be the key to my success. But honestly, I’m still working to become successful. I’m not where I want to be yet but I’m far from where I started
