Today we’d like to introduce you to Claire Pack.
Hi Claire, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I launched Winnie + Crew in May of 2021. After having our daughter, Winnie, in October of 2020, I realized there was a huge untapped market for a specific kind of baby and toddler clothes. Winnie + Crew is focused on providing both comfortable and cute clothes for littles and everyday life. My background is in social media, so we’ve been really focused on using social to grow the business since we launched, and we’ve done just that. It’s been so exciting to share our brand with more and more people and connect with moms from all over the country.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
With any new business, there’s always going to be a learning curve. We have learned what type of clothing people are interested in and what they’re not, as well as what resonates with our audience. It’s been fun to get to know our community better and to be able to provide them with exactly what they’re looking for.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Winnie + Crew is a mama-owned small business with one goal in mind: providing your little one with comfortable + cute clothes that they can play, rest and explore in all day long.
We want to get to know our community and connect on a deeper level beyond the baby clothes. We’ve been able to build relationships as we’ve grown our business. I’m proud that at this point, we’re managing everything on our own. Every comment and message is responded to by me personally and every package is packed by me. The personal touch and connection is really important.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Always! Clothing trends, whether for adults or babies, are always changing. Winnie + Crew is focused on providing clothes that will last a long time and can be passed down from baby to baby. While we’ll certainly pay attention and shift as time goes on, our goal will always be to have comfortable, everyday clothes for babies and toddlers.
