Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Jackson.
Hi Alexis, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Im Alexis started a ministry helping the homelessness and catered to their past issues affiliated with mental health. I live here in Atlanta,Ga but I’m originally from philly. I’m a mother of 4 boys and they truly are my motivation! My goal is to equip those through guidance, stability, and education in areas where it was needed. During my journey with ministry, I launched a dance ministry, then began to write theatrical plays, moving forward, ministry growth into writing children books on faith, and now have become a licensed Life and Spiritual Coach where I plant solid knowledge, help others set goals, and give motivation tools for their future.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh no! This has not been a smooth road for me all, in fact I came across a lot of bumps in the road, but I never gave up on what has been visioned for me. Every time I think about throwing in the towel,something/someone such as my children remind me of why I should continue to move forward. My struggles that I dealt with has, allowed me to fight even more because I know somebody out there is going through, needs to hear my story so that they can be motivated and empowered, which created me to be the strong person that I am today, and that’s what makes my transitions easy, looking back on how worse it could have been.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a licensed & Spiritual Life Coach, author and an ordained minister, with all that I’m the help for others, if it may be practicing self-motivation, assisting others (mainly women) in setting goals, prayer, public speaking at events, schools or other organizations on being worthy with great mindsets that have helped that individual overcome their past., I myself can relate because of self-experience, so it’s a blessing to be able to help those that I can relate to. I know it might sound crazy, but I’m known for setting the captives free, I mean freeing from bondage, past hurt, relationship burdens, etc. I really take my time on what their main need is, once I focus in on that, then prayer is set forth, from there, we are touching and agreeing on becoming whole again. Trust me it’s not a simple process, which is why I orchestrated coaching and came up with my business name Alexis J Ministries, I had to start with myself in order to work with others. As you know, Alexis is my name and J ‘is my last name initial… Now don’t get me wrong, I am still working on myself, but that’s what keeps me going, knowing we can ALL work on it together. These situations take time and healing comes hand in hand with that. I’m proud of myself for growing not just with my business but within myself, I’ve seen people I worked with years later share with me how their life has changed with help and my guidance it gives me peace and joy to see the change in them which is why it allows me to continue to grow with Christ because I know if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have came this far……… This is what I believe sets me apart from others..preparing for the unknown.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years, I plan on opening up a larger facility where I can do all of what’s been instilled in me. I want my growth to flourish with eventually having more locations than just Georgia, where help can be evolved everywhere. I’d like a conference room where all are welcome, I can do much more training and event hosting. I started my coaching along with inspirational journals with jewels and accessories so I’d really like to launch that into its own boutique.
