Today we’d like to introduce you to Sire Forever.
Hi Sire, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am from Atlanta, Born at Grady Hospital. Both of my Parents are African and moved here from Nigeria. They are both from different villages, city and tribes. I was raised in Stone Mountain but I have lived all over Georgia. I went to Stone Mountain elementary, middle and High school. I went to Stone Mountain High until I got arrested while I was out of school during the two weeks of Christmas holiday. I was not released for several months which effectively ending my days at Stone Mountain High. While I was in school, I had started my working career as a janitor at Jams Athletics, from there I worked at several places to help support me through alternative school and college at Georgia perimeter. After I graduated with my high school diploma and college credits, I pretty much spent the next few years floating around doing under the table jobs until I got arrested and decided I would try something different and started my company The Real Actual Perspective. The Real Actual Perspective is based off my perspective of reality and what’s really going on so it fits right into my everyday life. That was in 2013. I made it official when I filed the paperwork for the business in 2015 when I released my first video and song, Grady. As of today, I have split the company out into several branches. We have the production company, The Real Actual Perspective Productions which specifically deals with videography and photography. We have The Real Actual Perspective Music Group, which is the music production side of the company that specifically focuses on music production, recording music, getting an artist’s music in the hands of the right people, curate artist, listen to their music and decide what route would best suit them for the style of music they make. As of right now, I run the company full time with my business partner and brother Shomari Bowman.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Everyday is a struggle. I would love to say it was easy but it was not and hasn’t been. The key to success is taking all those struggles and using them to your advantage. You have to have a strong mind and will to overcome the daily struggles we all face. There are no such things as problems. Only questions that need answers… once you know the answers you win until the next question arises.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an Artist. I have been free-styling since 02, started recording music with my business partner in 07 and released my first song and video Grady in 2015. It has 15K views at the moment but it’s constantly bringing me fans so I’m satisfied with its performance. Especially being an independent with really no experience or help along the way. In 2016, I released my full-length mixtape 4969 Central Dr which features Grady as the lead song. It is based on my real life and everything I had been through that point in life which is why I started with Grady so I could really take my listener on the walk with me into those Atlanta streets out of Grady Hospital. So far I have over 100,000 plays on my project. My most proud moment would have to be when somebody gave me $100 for one CD. What sets me apart is I actually can rap lol I would say I practiced a lot but I really just love music so I digest it differently than other artist. I listen to all genre of music for the most part so it gives me the ability to be more versatile while still maintaining the real actual perspective I like to give in my music. I never closed my mind to other music even though I’m from the south and I grew up in a time where it wasn’t cool to listen to different kinds of music from different places, cities or countries. Down south people didn’t listen to up north music but I did. We were really more into South Florida music like uncle Luke and trick daddy or Texas music like Scarface and Ugk. Memphis and Tennessee had a lot of influence but that was the norm. I took all of it and mixed it with my love for the city that originated hip hop, New York City and mixed it with my down south Oukast, Goodie Mob, Cee- Lo and Ludacris and made my own style.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I only see it going up from here. I’m learning the music business everyday, making better connections through some very tactical networking and meeting all the people I need to know. I expect to be hiring some employees soon and go in a long we’ll deserved vacation.
