Hi Gakira, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
24 years young. I am originally from Delray Beach, Florida. I started out working two jobs as a senior in high school. As time went on, my best friend Sha Sha and I always talked about moving away & going off to school after graduating in 2015 but God had different plans. I went straight into the workforce, working after school for seven years and Early childhood for the last three years of my life.

In 2020 during the pandemic, I started my lash business The Prissy Kay Collection. Our slogan is “Bold, Sexy, Classy“. Top-quality mink strip eyelashes! I was mobile all throughout the Palm Beach & Dade County area determined to get my brand out in the world…

To continue on… My early 20’s have been a challenge but I am pushing through… I moved from Delray beach Florida four months ago & I have come across so many opportunities to grow as an individual & expand my brand…

To wrap up, I regret none of the trials that I’ve been through. It molded me into the woman I am becoming. I now live by “Take Risks & Prosper”… You can do anything you put your mind to. Never let anyone tell you what you can’t do.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yes, there has been struggles along the way but I am pushing through and keeping faith that I will make it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a young hard-working lady boss. I am currently employed at AT&T and Have multiple side hustles. As far as selling lashes & babysitting little ones.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I’ve learned that you should always be cautious and to love your family while they’re here because you never know what tomorrow holds.
