Exploring Life & Business with Ingrid Jordan of Faith Over Fear Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ingrid Jordan.

Hi Ingrid, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Ingrid Jordan an award-winning actress, producer, casting director, screenwriter, film director, and production manager. Whew, that’s alot right? I live my life on respect and principles.  My love and loyalty for this industry out weighs any amount of money.  I am a humble spirit and down to earth, with the willingness to learn and advise wherever my opinion is requested.

Faith over fear has always been a quote I lived by as my strength in life. In 2018, I brought that quote to life by transforming words into action. I started my own production company called “Faith Over Fear”. I produced my first movie called “Unbowed”, which was a faith-based film and also based off true events of my life story.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Of course, the road was a walk in the park, only in my dreams right. My first movie definitely had rough patches.  The staff were all sort of new to their roles and titles including myself.  We had small dilemmas on call sheets, egos on set, locations, and even had a person leave their position entirely. If I could do that film over again I wouldn’t change the experience at all, because even through all the behind-the-scenes destruction this film taught me to truly have faith over fear. Today my film has won 10 awards and counting circulating in the U.S. and international film festivals.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Within my company, I wear a few hats, but I specialize in being a producer and casting director. I literally treat every film as if it’s my own. I am very detailed and prideful in finding the perfect actors to fit the role of the script. The essence of my company is to produce films that are faith-based and the “light at the end of the tunnel” message. An additional service we made into an individual business is called “Reel Deal”.  I’m the co-founder, and also the acting coach if the actors need it to execute their acting reels to their fullest potential. Reel Deal Studio was created to shoot demo reels for actors to have footage of scenes to display. We handled the script, the coaching, the location, the visual, and editing.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Don’t compromise your vision. Use your voice for a reason to get your message across. Don’t seek validation. Be specific in your prayers and manifest your future accomplishments.

How much filming actually cost, like wow. I had no idea about an average ballpark budget number. Our dreams are priceless, so if you want them to come to fruition you will make it happen.
