Today we’d like to introduce you to Marque Hill.

Hi Marque, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
“I have been working in cosmetics and skin care for over six years and also ten years in the beauty industry. I Attended Sephora University back in 2016. Also was a counter manager for Lancôme back in 2019. Lancome was the spark of my interest when it came to skincare because of how amazing the products were. Last but not least, I’ve worked at M.A.C cosmetics as an Artist and eventually became a retail manager. In addition, I took up a two years degree in cosmetology. So the beauty world is very close to my heart. Skincare is actually one of my favorite hobbies and interest to tap into in my spare time.

Although there are many well-known brands out in the world, I wanted to create a more holistic brand that can help aid to those who either deal with acne-prone skin, hyperpigmentation or just looking for a more natural way to treat their skin concerns. Velocity Aesthetics was created for both women and men to help conquer our everyday skin concerns that may be contributed by: Hormones, pregnancy, heretical or environmental change. Velocity uses natural products with organic ingredients to ensure we take care of every skin concern and leave our skin feeling refreshed. Velocity was started in 2020 with ten years of education behind it. Here at velocity, we represent every client, every skin type and every gender. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, this has been an emotional rollercoaster for me. Although many times I wanted to quit & throw in the towel, I knew that wasn’t the end of my story. Even now it hasn’t been easy, but I’m super thankful for the push I continue to gain. If somebody would have told me the trials and tribulations it came to running a small business, I’m not sure if I still would have did it. But I’m super thankful I did. Velocity Aesthetics is my baby love. I created it during the time Covid had hit drastically. Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith and get uncomfortable. Success doesn’t come from always being comfortable. I believe in shaking the table and making some noise. I will say that one of my biggest struggles I’ve personally faced was not having a full business plan and just investing money into things that weren’t an established plan. I also exhausted myself having so many products. Thankfully I have created hero products that will ride with me forever.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Other than velocity Aesthetics, I am a professional MUA. I have worked with many photographers all around Georgia & South Carolina. If anybody knows me, they know that makeup is a gift that God himself had to come down and touch my hands. I love what I do. I love being able to connect with people when they sit in my chair. I love being that best friend for my clients when they may have had a long week. My makeup appointments are almost like therapy sessions for my clients. That’s what sets me apart from most MUAs because I’m not there just take your money and send you out the door. I’m here to pamper you and treat you to an experience. As I always tell my clients, beauty is not defined, it is revealed. Being able to help my clients feel beautiful in their own skin makes me so happy. That’s also another reason of why I created Velocity Aesthetics. Because velocity aesthetics is an experience not just a brand. When you had a long day, you come home and use our luxury bath products to set the tone for the night. A nice bath bomb, body scrub & body bar. Then you settle in with your velocity aesthetics skincare routine. It’s proven that when you do small things dealing with self-care for yourself, it can help improve not only your self-confidence but your mood. Overall both my artistry and holistic brand is an experience I would love for everyone to be able to experience & enjoy!

Any big plans?
My future plans for the future is most definitely getting my brand mass produced. I have high expectations that my brand will exceed past just me. I want to be able to create well-paying jobs & offer a safe and artistic space for individuals who love holistic products just as much as I do. So my motivation right now is to network and connect with other businesses who offers wholesale. I want people all over to experience the luxury of velocity aesthetics. How authentic my brand is.
