Meet Jasmine Butler of JazzyEats

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Butler.

Hi Jasmine, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started cooking when I was around 11/12 and it was something that just clicked for me right away. I took over with cooking dinner and I remember feeling so proud and ecstatic to watch my family rave about my food. My mom planted a seed in me that if this was something I was serious about that I could take this far and run my own business. Fast forward to the end of 2019, I parted ways with my chef supervisor position and plunged head first into JazzyEats and never looked back. This is a dream that I turned into my reality and I wouldn’t change it.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Running a business has its ebbs and flows. One week I’m completely booked and the next I may have one or no bookings. Regardless I’m thankful no matter what.

Pre pandemic business was booming. Clientele became sparse once it spread and they shut everything down. I then created a sauce to help get my name out there and to bring in the revenue. It was a hit and my sister and I started doing different pop-up shops to sell my Hot Honey Sauce.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I’m best known for getting clients to step outside of flavor profiles they’re used to and trying something new.

I specialize in upscale comfort food, putting my own twist on classic dishes. I want people to know that anyone can have the JazzyEats chef experience with affordable pricing & fresh ingredients.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I’m a firm believer in manifestation and understanding the sky is the limit. Prayer and manifesting play a huge role in all of this.
