Rising Stars: Meet Keshaun Williamson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keshaun Williamson.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began doing my own hair and quickly gained the interest of others, being that my hometown is small and not many people did wigs my success grew relatively quickly helping my social presence grow as well. Soon after, I caught the attention of a few influencers and celebrities.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Before I moved to Atlanta, there wasn’t many opportunities to work with higher profile clients or on sets of videos or photo shoots. Coming from a smaller city also makes it harder to see your dreams through as many people encourage a more practical route. (I was told by a principal doing hair was not a real job.)

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a hairstylist specializing in lace installs and wigs. I’m most proud of the features and accolades I have gained in a short time. I have work featured in Multiple major magazines and I have worked with many companies having work shown in their campaigns. I believe my creativity sets me apart from others as well.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
When just starting out you should first and foremost believe in yourself. Immediately after perfect your craft. Networking is also a great way to build up your name and also open the door for many more opportunities.
