Conversations with Mz. Coxx

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mz. Coxx. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Mz. Coxx began to express herself through music in different ways at a young age. She wrote her very first verse to a song at the age of 10 as well. Far from average, the 10-year-old recorded her verse with a family friend in her very own home. When Mz. Coxx played it for her parents, they knew that there was something different about this little girl. Later in the year Mz. Coxx was placed in various acting workshops and plays to enhance on her acting skills.

Through her younger years Mz. Coxx has toured alongside Mindless Behavior, Diggy Simmons and the Omg Girlz. She has also performed at various events throughout Atlanta including the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival, Sweet Auburn Festival, the Hot Block Awards, Celebrity Basketball Games, Hosea Feed the Hungry, and former Dekalb Commissioner Stan Watson’s Television Show on Comcast.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road. I don’t think anything about the music or entertainment industry is smooth. I’ve been through a variety of management conflicts. I’ve dealt with the ongoing struggle of being overlooked simply for being a female in a male-dominated industry. And most recently being caught up in an altercation that resulted in me taking a bullet (literally) based on the actions of others. Unfortunately resulting in me breaking my hip.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an artist and entertainer. I love writing music, I rap, I act, and I model here and there. I’m most known for being an all-around entertainer, and powerhouse onstage. I take pride in putting on a great show! I love performing! It’s like a form of escapism for me. I’m constantly creating and evolving, so you never know what comes with Mz. Coxx honestly! Expect the Unexpected literally!

What matters most to you? Why?
The things that matter most to me are being influential and motivational, I want to inspire others, I want to be a household name for my talents and just being a genuine, down-to-earth person.
