Check Out Stinky Pete’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stinky Pete.

Hi Stinky, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a young kid, music was always a passion of mine. When I was a kid, me and my dad would listen to Hip-Hop about 95% of the time, and it was always so easy for me to remember the words and sing along. It was always really satisfying to me, to be able to sing a complete verse without messing up and I feel that’s kinda where my music-making passion stemmed from. Though I never really thought of myself to make music, because I was super heavy on video games and video game design. I lived most of my life, and grew up in Milton/Pensacola, FL but when it was time for me to go to high school. My mom moved me and my brothers out to Alabama and it kinda isolated me from everything I knew, and all of my friends. Though I would still go visit every weekend, nothing was really the same. During this time, I had taken note of the local music scene, though it was more “trap” oriented. I noticed the only white rapper in the city, and I quickly became inspired and grew an interest on the hobby. Over the years, I learned how to record, produce, and engineer my own music. Meeting a lot of musicians and making a lot of friends along the way it kinda just became an everyday thing for me. Eventually, I got a bunch of my close friends like Marco Plus, VampLeek, 44JAY, and Mackee to come together and make a music group under the name “WTE” (When’s The End) or just “dub*” for short. As time would go on, I would continue practicing and gaining new fans until I started doing shows and it all kinda skyrocketed from there

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would say it has been a pretty smooth journey. Everyone has their bumps along the way, but I never took the negative energy from anything. I tend to look at everything as a lesson, whether it be my fault or not. I have fallen out with the team a couple times, or just losing motivation but it has never stopped me from moving forwards

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am mainly a musician/audio engineer, but creativity really runs through my blood, and I love to have my foot in on everything revolving around my music career. I create my own graphics, book my own shows, as well as my teams shows, shoot and edit my own music videos, and maintain my career on the business side all on my own. Setting myself apart from others has always been naturally easy for me as well. I am very, very passionate about my craft and bring 150% energy to everything I attend. It’s actually gotten to the point to where I’m invited to shows, just because of my energy and ability to really T up. Being proud is also kind of an understatement because when I began, I NEVER would have thought that I would be where I’m at right now, even though it’s nothing major. It is still super crazy to me that I have made a name for myself in the same city I grew up in

Any big plans?
I plan on just moving forward one step at a time. My main goal is to just have music fund my lifestyle so I can focus on it 100% every day, as well as finally performing at my first major music festival
