Rising Stars: Meet Nay Marie

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nay Marie.

Nay, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Adorned In Taji came to be when multifaceted Creative and Healing Arts Jeweler, NayMarie, sought alternative methods to help heal, uplift, and empower her community. “I’ve rarely been attracted to the road most traveled. Once I discovered that 90% of the knowledge, I learned in school was useless or false, I started looking into preventative healthcare, multiple streams of income, and how to welcome peace into my life.”

“This led me to one of my favorite gifts from Gaia – gemstones. I’ve never been stingy with information, so I share with those who are willing to receive and want to live their best lives.”

Nay developed a passion for adorning Royals in treasures from the Earth. Seeing the instant confidence boost and hearing them say that they felt like royalty while watching the way they finessed a mirror, or an Instagram video literally swelled her heart and reinforced that she is here to be a catalyst in the prosperity of those in her tribe.

Plus, they kept coming back and asking for more pieces, so Nay continued to create them and officially launched Adorned In Taji in June 2019. “I was introduced to creating jewelry when I aimed to helped my mom launch her business. She went down another path, but I never looked back.”

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The hardest part for me is imposter syndrome. I never want to portray myself as someone I’m not. I never want to taint this genre. There are tons of fake priests/priestesses, shamans, witches, healers, etc. – especially on social media. I never want to get lumped into that group. For this reason, I do a lot of studying (there are over 200+ types of gemstones) and am careful about how I release information. My goal is only to be helpful.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in creating Adornments that serve a purpose AND are stylish. I am known for my craftsmanship, use of cowrie shells, and popularizing nose chains and crowns as everyday wear.

I am most proud of how my Royals have used their Adornments to better their lives. At minimum, when they get Adorned In Taji, there is a confidence boost that they carry with them throughout the day. At their peak, they are making conscious changes for the betterment of their lives.

One thing that sets Adorned In Taji apart is that my mannequin, Shanta Thonga, is bald so she helps my Bald Royals and those living with Alopecia know that the Adornments they’re eyeing will indeed accentuate their beauty. They get to feel seen and celebrated.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Be authentic. The truer to myself I am, the more successful I am.

I took a moment to slow down and get realigned. I had to get back to why I love doing what I do (and not just because I’m “supposed” to be posting 3 times a day with trending audio and quick, digestible content *eye roll*).
