Check Out Claudia Banks’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Banks.

Hi Claudia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In 2017 I had a life-changing event happen that caused me to move to here. I am a single mother of 3 that knew it would be difficult to find a 9 to 5 that would allow me to be as flexible as I needed to be with 3 girls to take care of. I made the decision to go straight into entrepreneurship, I went to real estate school, 3 weeks after finishing I gave birth to my youngest, 3 months after her birth I took my real estate exam, and I started my journey as a realtor. It was definitely not as easy as you see on TV. Due to my hard work and consistency, I had the Broker in Charge of my firm ask me to become his assistant. For about 2 years I assisted not only him in his real estate transactions but also assisted with the in and outs of the business with the brokerage and had the opportunity to help organize events and assist in creating content for the brokerage… in doing so I became extremely passionate with social media and how to create content that connects with your audience. In February of 2021, I made the decision to open my business iSocializ, a company dedicated to help the small business owner gain visibility through social media by visually speaking to their audience. In May of 2021 was the launch of a boutique for my first client. We sold out within 3 days and my phone started ringing off the hook with other opportunities to help other businesses in the area with their content. I started creating content with just my iPhone 11 Pro Max, I did everything through my phone. I would not only record through my phone, but I would also create the concept and became the creative director with certain projects that required a videographer or photographer. Eventually, through the encouragement of my collaborators (photographers & videographers that I would bring on into certain projects), I picked up a camera. I fell in love with being able to capture exactly what I envisioned for my clients and their content. My journey has taught me the importance of collaboration. Through collaboration with other photographers and videographers I was given amazing opportunities to be the creative director for projects I wouldn’t have imagined to be a part of. I became the co-creator of CollaboratHER society, an organization that hosts monthly networking events that brings women together to connect & collaborate with each other to reach personal or professional goals.

I have several different projects in the works, that has allowed me to start breaking into the Atlanta market. Remember my name, you’ll be hearing it more often!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all! Being a single mom of 3 energetic girls, I’ve had to overcome my fear of not looking professional enough to my clients when it’s necessary to bring them along with me to projects.

I had to build my clientele from the bottom. I moved here without knowing anyone for the exception of my mom and brother.

I had to also get out of my own way!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in helping small businesses gain the visibility they need through social media in order to grow. I help my clients visually speak to their audience. I love helping my clients find their authentic voice in their content. I’m not a fan of following the trends on social media, I like being able to highlight their uniqueness with every piece of content so that their brands message is clear. What sets me apart from others is my ability to put myself in the consumers’ shoes and look at every business I help through their eyes. I also make sure I do an extensive market research also to understand the consumers wants/ needs.

Any big plans?
Yes! I’m excited to start a new organization called Visually Speaking. The goal is create a community for creatives to learn and collaborate with each other.
