Hi Wanda , thank you so much for sitting down with us again. For folks who might have missed our initial interview, can you start by briefly introducing yourself?
My name is Wanda Pearson. I am a retiree from IBM Corporation. After 36 years. of experience in marketing and sales with IBM, along with my background in social work and women’s counseling, my extensive background in consulting, marketing, and sales inspired my interest in small business and networking. I launched my own business WD Pearson Associates LLC with services in LegalShield and Small Business. My passion for helping others in the community fuels my ministry and serves as a foundation for my overall success. I am a coauthor of “Audacity to Shine”and coauthor of “The Impact of One Voice.” Now on Amazon best seller.
I am in the process of writing my own book GOD’S GRACE through the FIRE

What was your passion when you were growing up?
My passion at 10 years old was always to become a Social Worker. Growing up being abused I felt we needed to. offer children help to have someone to talk to. Children are fearful of their abusers and afraid to speak of things that were happening in their home. I also wanted to help people by encouraging words to lift up their self esteem and confidence whenever I saw them down on themselves. There is so much mental illness in this world because of depression and people feeling they are not good enough.
After you retired from corporate what was your next step as far as business?
My husband and I have a business for over 24 years which was Legalshield. But I had to learn how to network FYI, John BNI, which is Business Network International that helped me learn how to network and build relationships in your business. BNI started my journey to join other networking groups. I became known as the networking queen. This helped our Legalshield business to be successful in the community. Then COVID happened in 2020. I wanted to create my own business, therefore I created WDPearson Associates LLC. My passion was to help home based and small businesses get set up the right way.
I collaborated with other entrepreneurs and started doing webinars with them, so that we can connect and help each other educate our audience.
How did you pivot into creating your own brand WDPearson Associates LLC and how did you continue your services in Legalshield to intertwine both business?
I pivoted into creating WDPearson Associates LLC because I knew that there were people that had a passion to start their own business when companies started closing down during COVID in 2020. I created a space via Zoom to do live webinars to educate and coach people on what they needed to know and how to get their business to be set up legally the right way with the correct entity.
Legalshield have the lawyers to help entrepreneurs with our legal services as well as helping them get their LLC’s.
I intertwined these services with my clients to get coaching and education to make sure their business was legally protected and successful.
What other services have you added on to your business?
I do Collaboration with other services such as helping Small Businesses to get help with funding. With David Allen Capital that can help small businesses get loans when the big banks can’t approve them. I have partners with my WDPEARSON Associates to help with other services.

What are your books you were part of a collaboration project and are you writing your own book to be released in 2023?
Audacity to Shine and Impact of One Voice are my collaboration books. I am in the process of writing my own book God’s Grace Through the Fire from Struggle to Triumph coming soon in 2023!
Can you tell us about your mentoring project with young middle school students.
Yes! God have given me the opportunity to get back into my social work. I work with another young lady whom created this program about 4 years ago. We work with the teachers and counselors from the schools. The program is called S.T.A.R.S which is mentoring at the two middle schools. We teach them about making sure your self-esteem and confidence is not taken away from you, I make sure that they have affirmation before they walk out of the classroom. at the end of each hour long session. We are very proud that the girls are enjoying what we are doing with them. We make sure that they all are STARS ⭐️
