Community Highlights: Meet Tameca N. Murray of Chreslove

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tameca N. Murray.

Hi Tameca, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Life’s experiences being our best teacher, I recognized it was time to take the role on for others. In 2019, I took a pause on the hamster wheel and hermitted for four months to channel my learnings into my first self-published book. “Inspired Legacy, Cultivating Generational Greatness One Seed at a Time” was written in parallel symmetry to farming principles and practices. The writing takes the reader on a journey of parenting from selecting the land to planting their seeds and reaping an eventual harvest. The clear, sometimes hard truths caused an awakening for many. So much so, months after publishing there was an increased call to offer supplemental support to families and children in the form of personal coaching.

Who knew the flow would open the door to direct contact with my readers and having a more intimate role in their private journeys. After a year or so, the parent-child coaching platform morphed into an “everyone welcome” healing coach business. As this practice and my passion to help grew, I made a decision in late 2021 to early retire from my senior-level, 25-year Healthcare IT career and birth my entrepreneurial dream – a larger source of light, with Chreslove.

Along with my coaching business, Chreslove’s portfolio of services has allowed me to now meet people’s needs in their home, in their workplace, and in their community. This expansion has been a win for me… and more so for the individuals, schools, small businesses, and community groups I’ve been fortunate to connect with.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As I reflect on the roads taken to my current landmark, a bittersweet emotion comes over me as there certainly was much sacrifice and loss along the way. Although building my business was my professional prize, there were many personal commitments and achievements I could not lose sight of. Just because I wanted my business to thrive didn’t negate the responsibility to my family or myself. I knew that in order to bring the best to others (personally or professionally), I was first needing to achieve “being the best of me”.

Like many, being fearful of the unknown or being a victim of self-sabotage, the path to success became more complicated than expected. With this, it wasn’t a matter of being more creative, connecting more with my purpose, or securing a greater vision – it was of most importance to master me.

Years of deep inner-flection led to moments of ongoing, upleveling transformations. In those phases of healing and change, I felt as if new beginnings were always beginning. With each new me, I had to adjust and execute on the new overstandings and perspectives. This was challenging, as the world around me wasn’t necessary aligned with where I was. Thus, I had to become extremely patient with myself and trust that in due time everything would fall in place.

Mountain after mountain – rejection, deceit, perceptions of lack in every form – I somehow began to climb further one challenge at a time. My falls somehow became my motivators and a more confident and courageous me began to show up!

In hindsight, a real struggle was documented in my self-titled herstory book, but time has definitely lightened the burdens and led to overwhelming excellence in and around me. I’m grateful for every obstacle, and the truths of each experience provide substance to the well I draw from in my encounters with others.

We’ve been impressed with Chreslove, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Chreslove is more than a business name. It is a representation of who I Am. In every service we offer and within every encounter, there is an unwavering truth, authentic expression, and measure of compassion instilled at the core. We don’t exist to do a job; we exist to be a vessel of inspiration and conduit for growth and excellence.

Chreslove provides a host of “people” services for the individual and the small businesses, with several community partnerships and programs as well. With my foundation in personal coaching, Chreslove extends itself into the small business space, offering Human Resource Department development and maintenance support, including a variety of employee relations support services. We understand that “people” are the core.

Our uniqueness is in our style of engagement, the demonstration of passion for what we do, and in the immense creativity and brilliance brought to everything we touch. Working with Chreslove is an experience. It’s like a reunion of kindred spirits. We listen, tune into the need, and respond with detail and big picture in mind.

Additionally, Chreslove goes outside the walls of the business to make connections and commune with the people. Often facilitated by me, Chreslove has a variety of virtual and in-person community efforts in flight. From fitness groups, leadership development, and parent/child support sessions, to self-mastering classes and workshops. We thrive on meeting new people and stirring up greatness in neighborhoods around the world.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Interestingly, I have always been in the position of being a mentor and putting in the work to research and study to further my grind. When I look back, I know that “to inspire is to be inspired” so technically my own inner whispers and the encouragement from my inner circle, all served a purpose and worked together for my good.

In more recent times, I find that venturing outside my comfort zone, volunteering, and just being out-and-about, opportunities for connection and shared knowledge appear more readily from other business owners and wise souls. I have benefited greatly from many chance encounters and discovered that by eliminating the pressures of “who, what, and when”, I have gained access to “anyone, everything, and everywhere”.

Thus, unlike most, I have magnetized a trusted, open network with the world and in return, allowed the world to motivate and guide me.
