Meet Darwin Cipion

Today we’d like to introduce you to Darwin Cipion.

Hi Darwin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a Journalist and a Public Relations professional. I work as a general producer for the William Paterson newscast. I started out as a writer and then became the main news anchor.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I lost my wife last year and it hasn’t been easy to continue without her. I continue to focus on my work and visiting her family. We support each other through this process.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a journalist. I’m currently working as a TV producer. I’m a perfectionist. I oversee every aspect of the newscast. TV production is known to be a stressful business but I make it fun and enjoyable. I make sure everyone on my team is proud of what they do.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I recommend everyone to take risks. It’s better to try and fail than spending all your life wonder what if. At the beginning of my career, I joined a reality tv show. I was hesitant to join because of all the bad reality tv shows out there. It was something new to me and it was my first time on national tv. It was the best decision ever, I met my wife there. I Repeat. TAKE RISK!
