Daily Inspiration: Meet Tamarra Bryant

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamarra Bryant.

Hi Tamarra, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a 28 years old wife, mother, and cake artist. I started decorating cakes six years ago while working at Walmart. Six months later I quit my job and began my journey of entrepreneurship. Since then, my social media following had grown by thousands, I’ve started my own supply line, and I have traveled all over the world to teach over 200 students! I recently started a dessert candle line as well. I’ve been located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin until now, and I will be relocating to Atlanta, Georgia this summer!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a full-time mother as well as a full-time entrepreneur has its challenges, but I make it work. Being a minority-owned business as well, I feel like the stereotypes have people labeling me before they’ve had the chance to do business with me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I create all types of specialty cakes. Birthdays, Weddings, Sculpted Cakes, and my new personal favorite: household items that are in fact, CAKE.

What were you like growing up?
I always loved baking growing up, and if anyone asked younger me what I wanted to be when I grew up my answer was always a pastry chef. I had no idea that baked goods could be turned into such beautiful creations though, and once I unlocked that side of it as an adult, I fell in love. I’ve always been creative. I love DIY projects, art, and drawing.
